Since I'm playing an Assassin, I don't think I'd feel so bad about killing dudes in Knife of Dunwall.
I finished non-lethal ghost run of the DLC on the hardest difficulty. It was actually fun if you like stealth. Enemies spot you instantly if you aren't out of their sight and they kill you with one sword swing. I'm not sure if they changed it but it seems found bodies don't destroy ghost rating. I think you would have to be extremely good to get zeros in the last chapter.
I liked the Knife of Dunwall levels better then the regular games. Felt like they were harder, and required more skill, especially the last. [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] I also cannot wait for the second part of the DLC.
The guards seem to notice you more quickly than they did in the main game. It's probably to balance the stronger powers.
After playing KoD so much, it was actually harder to get back into the original game... KoD was a lot more simple than the original story.
It was harder for me because that new blink blows the old one out of the water
Definitely, the new blink is just amazingly useful in every way. I can't count the number of times I've died jumping from a ledge and forgetting my blink doesn't freeze time.
Is it me or is the jump height in KoD also huge in comparison to the original?
I wrote a small Dishonored fanfiction: http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Kirbyfactor/1165980/
Samuel is such a bro.
Just started to play this again after not playing in 4 months. It's fun. The nonlethal approach for [sp]campbell[/sp] was pretty awful. That's worse than death.
The nonlethal option for the Boyle sister is probably the worst one.
Don't spoil it for me. Almost done with the level with Campbell, just gotta grab a few more items and find that bunk house safe
NonLethal is incredibly unrewarding to me. So eventually when I get back into finishing it I'll liklely do some sort of speedrun as lethal.
I have no idea how many people I can kill while still getting the low chaos ending. I killed like, one guy, because I accidentally threw him into one of those electric walls because I thought I could carry him about to circumvent the security.
You need to keep 70% of the enemies alive, I think. So you can kill like 5-6 guards? I'm not sure on the specifics.
70% per level, right? [editline]2nd May 2013[/editline] i've ready that nonlethally eliminating the target is worth like -7 killed guys or something, so i guess that cancelled out my one accidental kill
Yeah, I think few levels allow you to do good deeds that negate your chaos.
I killed a handful of people per level and kept chaos low.
I've annihilated entire platoons of guards leaving only a couple left, still low. My second run was actually supposed to be high chaos, but I just can't get it to high no matter what I do.
The nonlethal option for the Boyle sister is probably the worst one.
[sp]Not really, it's basically prearranged marriage in a nutshell.[/sp]
[sp]Did you even hear the way the guy talked about her? He was seedy as fuck, she probably ended up in a basement somewhere.[/sp]
While possibly bad, not the worst fate to be had in the game.
While possibly bad, not the worst fate to be had in the game.
[sp]If you do Campbell the non lethal way he turns into a weeper and is left to rot, Id say that is the worst fate[/sp]
I'd agree that's a worse fate, but I think the winner for me goes to Slackjaw. Even death may not be the end for him.
Kill everyone, ring all alarms, crash down the speakers, and break stuff.
You can knock down the speakers?
I actually never purposely cut down the speakers. The first time I actually did it and learned you can do it was during the Knife DLC. I needed to get past a gate but my blink couldn't reach the roof. I noticed the climb arrow appear on the speaker so I blinked there. The moment I landed the wire snapped and I fell down with it in the middle of guard outpost.
You can knock down the speakers?
1 bullet or 2 crossbow bolts, you had to do it in the Trails of Dunwall dlc a few times, it comes in handy in the actual games a few times as well, see above post. I hate websites that do that. Not everybody in Switzerland speaks German for fuck's sake! And the language selection menu doesn't even work. Anyway, it doesn't look like something I'll buy.
