I found BW way easier to finish on a ghost and non-lethal run than KOD.
[editline]16th August 2013[/editline]
[sp]what determines what Corvo does at the end of BW? Is it just spared if you did low chaos and killed if you did high chaos, regardless of your choices?[/sp]
Also once again the non-lethal option (for Delilah at least) is way worse than simply killing her.

The ending depends on your chaos rating. Which is honestly really disappointing and doesn't make any sense.
Also, the non-lethal option always seems to be way worse than the lethal option. Why is sending Lady Boyle out to the rape dungeon more merciful than just killing her?

Nobody said the non-lethal methods were supposed to be merciful.

The point is you get rid of them permanently without actually killing them. It has to be something so terrible theres no chance of them ever coming back. For some reason the devs thought that maliciously destroying someone's life is morally better than just killing them.
Also, it would be really nice if I could play Dishonored without it stuttering all the damn time. I tried setting the process to high priority, but that stopped working recently, and it makes the game more unstable, to the point where it sometimes crashes right as I start.

I like to think that Corvo and Daud act in tandem with each other in this. So if you're playing a high chaos Dowd, the Corvo you encounter at the end is also high chaos.
The first DLC with Daud I had a high chaos rating, the second I had low rating and took her out in the non lethal way, I was spared by Corvo.
I would love it if they released a patch that combined The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches into a single campaign.
All I really still want from Brigmore Witches is to fight Corvo at the end. It kinda sucks that it just skips to when you've already lost the battle. I know it doesn't make sense with the story, but I find that the ending branching off to an alternate timeline would be fine if it only affected the ending scene immediately after.

Yeah, it did feel like they kind of had it backwards. If they're going to make you [sp]fight Corvo no matter what, the fight should have been at the end, and not in some dream sequence. Also Corvo should have used some of his other skills, like wind blast and devouring swarm[/sp].
Spoiler tags, anyone...?

I'd rather buy it when I have money and not know anything about it.
You come into a Dishonored discussion thread and then complain about being spoiled, your own fault.

Sorry, I just kind of assumed that this aspect of the DLC was common knowledge. I probably should have known better, since I'm usually the kind of person who's really paranoid about spoilers.

In his defence, the dlc is still pretty new.
So... am I the only one having problems with audio stuttering? Because it's the main thing keeping me from enjoying the game right now. It keeps fucking happening and I hate it. I tried that trick where I go into DishonoredEngine.ini and switch MaxSmoothedFrameRate to 60, and that helped my overall framerate, but I'm still getting the stuttering. I don't think this happened before I got my new monitor.

Well I wanna know what people think about the new DLC?
It's not even a week old.
I thought it was extremely good. Compared to KoD, the missions were extremely interesting, and I'm on my third run, and I still haven't found everything yet.
Honestly, I felt somewhat underwhelmed by both DLC stories my first time through. In hindsight, I think it's just because I wasn't in the mood for Dishonored, and I was only playing them because I just got them, and I might as well play through them.
Now I'm on my second run through them, and I'm enjoying them a lot more. To me, this is DLC done right. Sure it's a little flawed, but it feels like any flaws it might have are simply due to Arkane's relative lack of skill in story presentation, rather than just laziness.

With Knife of Dunwall I had the issue that my ghost & non-lethal approach didn't fit how they kept talking about Daud in that DLC, even Daud himself seemed ruthless. In the newest DLC they let you import low chaos save and in that one Daud sounds more believable as a low chaos character. Plus I agree that each level is interesting. Except maybe the first one which is pretty short but features few nice additions and it's mainly a revisit of a location.
Knife of Dunwall has one great mission, one regular mission and last mission which is pretty boring and only serves to test your ghost abilities. It's a shame the last KoD mission is disappointing but in the latest DLC things are wrapped up nicely.
They should've made the non lethal method for the final boss a little more clear.
Seemed pretty clear too me, though I [sp]searched the whole damn mansion thousands of times for a replacement portrait[/sp] :v:
If you found the note, you know what to do and since no objective marker pops up you know it comes later.
Gonna be trying to speedrun through the Brigmore Witches, see what I can do.
Alright, done! 35 minutes and 20 seconds.
God damnit, your Skype sounds makes me feel like people are trying to communitcate with me. :v:
Watching you play makes me realize how much easier the whole thing becomes with Dauds ability to pause time while blinking. Doing pretty good man!
Done. 35 minutes, 20 seconds.
So the Thief series are some of my absolute favorite games ever. Would it be worth it for me to buy Dish on a Red?
Yes, it would be.
I just finished the Brigmore Witches and it's a pretty good DLC, even better than the Knife of Dunwall imo. I was just a bit disappointed that the ending was based on my chaos level rather than the choices I made as Corvo.
But what's the deal with the old guy and his gas? I searched the level and the only ways I've found to get the coil are either [sp]doing the sidequest to get the code[/sp] or simply [sp]going to the engine room from the sewers[/sp]. Is there a third option that involves killing that guy?

Yup
[sp]Get the recipe from the nurse's lab, find the three things you need for the potion, return to old man, take the oil tank out and the place gets gassed, before he dies old man gives you the code [/sp]
I'm actually not sure how that part of the quest changes your chaos level and kill count.
[sp]You can do the sewer side quest for hatters and get the ship part without killing anyone. Or you can make the nurse get away from the hatter boss by using his clock upstairs. When he's gone the boss tells you he wants to die and that you need antitode to survive his death. After that you can create the cure and kill him by removing the whale oil tank. That kills everyone in the map except you and I think all those deaths are on you.[/sp]
