I just bought the Knife of Dunwall DLC. Hopefully it's worth the $10.

[sp]When you are going to meet that woman, and she is being harrased by that hatter, I wish he would actually become scared if you waited for her to say she was meeting daud, and then daud showing up. It felt a bit stupid how she was threatening him about you showing up, and when you did, he just straight up attacked you [/sp]
Anyone know what the [sp]Mad hatters hat[/sp] is for?

Replaying this game makes me appreciate just how much work went into the level design. You really can do the levels any way you want. Every solution I've come up with has either worked or been impossible for a perfectly reasonable reason (i.e. the vents are too small for a full grown man to crawl through because the builders weren't idiots). I just finished the first real mission again and I have to say that this game is even more fun the second time around. I think once I finish this playthrough I'll pick up the DLC. Right now i'm wavering on that because half think it's amazing and half say it lasts for no time at all.

For some reason I have the hardest time bringing myself to kill anyone in this game.
Pacifist run is the best way to play it in my opinion
I like fighting everybody.
The combat is so satisfying, but I always feel like I've done something wrong when I fight. Being sneaky is so immersive, I feel like I'm not getting the full experience by charging in head-first. But it's all so much fun. I'd say that's the sign of a very well-crafted game.
For some reason I have the hardest time bringing myself to kill anyone in this game.
I have the exact opposite problem. The combat is so fun and the tools so creative that I feel like using them constantly.
Doing my second playthrough on the hardest difficulty. Wish me luck. Also, it feels like the game should have been on hardest difficulty as "Normal". Feels like I'm playing the game like it should have been played now.
Is it just me, or is the DLC way more resource intensive than the base game? I could play through Dishonored just fine with no problems, but I started up the Knife of Dunwall a while ago and my computer was on the verge of death within ten minutes. Maybe my computer has just really detoriated the last few months, it is a pretty damn old thing by now.
I didn't really see any major drops only sometimes I got a half-second of stutter when a level loaded. I still haven't beaten it on the hardest, only on Elite and that wasn't that hard. Only thing I noticed was when I fucked up and tried to fight before reloading my save enemies killed me pretty quickly.
Good luck with master assassin. It's fun, but hard.
Oh crap I have to redo the first level over again because I put the damn guards that I KO'd in the dumpster by the bomb and it counted as killing them. I didn't even think of that, but at the same time that's kinda cool that the game counts that. Makes it feel like a legit world.
I hate when that happens. I once tranq'd a guard and he slowly fell off the platform before I could get to him, hit the ground and broke his neck. :(

I once tranq'd a guard and he slowly fell off the platform before I could get to him, hit the ground and broke his neck. :(
I had a fun time in the flooded district trying to tranq a guy, slow time, then blink over to him and catch him as he fell over the roof he was watching from.
My friend from school plays this game and he was telling me about how he solved the [sp]Soloklov mission[/sp]. Once he knocked him out he dropped him down, blinked downward, and held [PICK UP] button and caught him as he was falling. Turns out my friend's brilliant.
He could have just blinked down with him in hand. In fact, he'd probably fall so quickly from that height that you wouldn't have enough time to hold "use" and catch him before he flew by and hit the ground. You'd probably need to jump and be very precise to keep him in your target long enough to actually grab him.
Should just blink over the rooftops.
Pacifist run is the best way to play it in my opinion
As doing a full on chaos run I have to say the chaos effects wasn't that great to the point I should of just went pacifist, like all it did was spawn more tallboys and soldiers with deranged sick people in literally every building. I was expecting to see swarms of infected, sick people and rats storm checkpoints only to get blasted by the police but only saw one incident like that which was pretty lackluster
so i redownloaded dishonored on steam because I never got around to finishing it, click launch game, it installs all the shit then goes to a black screen like it's starting up then just goes back to the desktop the fuck is wrong here, I tried re-redownloading but it does nothing
I liked the Knife of Dunwall levels better then the regular games. Felt like they were harder, and required more skill, especially the last. [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] I also cannot wait for the second part of the DLC.
It's definitely harder because now there is usually 1 guard looking at his friends so knocking them out needs more precise timing. That is if you care about stealth, otherwise only the new butcher enemy can be give you rough time.
