There actually are bolt carbines, I'm fairly sure. But Godwyn-pattern isn't one, neither is it an SMG. And the one in Space Marine is Godwyn-pattern bolter. [editline]10th January 2012[/editline] Although in the game, Stalker-pattern was rather loud, while it's silent in the actual fluff.
Um no. The bolter field load which is closest to fluff ala regular bolter are kraken bolts, and the BP is a literally direct ripoff of Halo's pistol.
Um no. The bolter field load which is closest to fluff ala regular bolter are kraken bolts, and the BP is a literally direct ripoff of Halo's pistol.
Are you trolling?
Um no. The bolter field load which is closest to fluff ala regular bolter are kraken bolts, and the BP is a literally direct ripoff of Halo's pistol.
When did Halo come out?
Customizing armies sound great but I'm not too sure I'd like the scale being larger than it is in DoW1.
I think that WH40K is actually one of the few franchises that could pull this off very well. Imagine having control over an entire IG infantry regiment with added artillery support, or controlling your own huge Kult of Speed ork warband.
I can't find any "full details". Anyone?
That was for last year. It didn't happen.
When did Halo come out?
Talking about Space Marine, not TT/Fluff. Never been a direct fluff translation and there never will be.
Closest thing to bolters is BF3 USAS frag rounds. Except you're a douche if you use that load-out.
Halo invented pistols.
WoW was the first FPS.
This is the best thing I've seen all day
Um no. The bolter field load which is closest to fluff ala regular bolter are kraken bolts, and the BP is a literally direct ripoff of Halo's pistol.
Are you serious or are you jokingly acting stupid enough for my question mark to go upside down and inside out¿
Barely related to 40k, but rumors are that Relic is working on Dawn of War 3 and Company of Heroes 2. Just thought you fine chaps should know.
I knew about DoW3 but holy shit, Company of Heroes 2? I am going to buy both games.
Are the Tau a Dictatorship? They have a Council of Ethereals so i'm not sure - there is no one with absolute power in the Empire.
Are the Tau a Dictatorship? They have a Council of Ethereals so i'm not sure - there is no one with absolute power in the Empire.
Pretty much due to Pheromone controls
Necrons were set in stone as well, brah. The person who looks stupid here is you. The bolter worked the way it did in the game for the same reason a stranglethorn cannon only does miniscule damage and is in fact mitigated by armor in game. No electronic 40K game has been fluff accurate for rather obvious reasons, and the boltgun in the released version still isn't fluff accurate. Your opinion != fact.
The Boltgun in Space Marine is as close to Accurate as it'd get, short of being a rapid-firing Stalker Bolter with increased Ammunition capacity. But it wasn't. But it was close enough. I never said it was fluff-accurate.
Yeah I'm pretty sure they aren't carbines or revolvers or an exact copy of Halo 1's pistol either. Your fetish != fluff or filling a gameplay design.
Well, this is completely irrelevant?
Um no. The bolter field load which is closest to fluff ala regular bolter are kraken bolts, and the BP is a literally direct ripoff of Halo's pistol.
Why is it that, at some times, you make an agreeable statement. Then, just you can round it off, or even leave it be, you shit all over it and bang your head with a saucepan?
Is this what you're looking for? The soundtrack is called ''Epic Hero''.
Finally found it. 1:48 Also my biggest request for DOW3 is fluid melee combat that doesn't require opponents to lock together like a chain. E.g a Space Marine can just run towards a mob with a chainsword, rip an Ork apart with a chainsword and keep going, not standing in front and taking a second to rise his chainsword like a moron. (can be a fucking pain when the AI can't make up its mind on who to attack/can't get link before being blown to pieces by ranged fire) and It would look fucking awesome. After the massive changes DOW2 gave to the structure of armies and the destruction wrought by abilities Im really hoping for an improvement on that scale.
I lke the hero system from DoW II, starting off with kinda average space marine powers and then ending up (at least by the end of chaos rising) who can teleport in, blow up everything within a 5 mile radius just from the shockwave of teleportation, activate a power that makes everything they so much as look at turn into a pile of gibs and then teleport out again to repeat the whole thing so if they could have a similary insane leveling tree for the hero units in DoW 3 AND the grand scale i'd love it for ever
Pretty much due to Pheromone controls
They do not have pheremone controls.

B: Keep the drop system which was in DoW2, it was also such fun finding an insanely overpowered weapon in DoW2 with a purple title in my opinion.
The boltgun may have one of four different magazines. These include: Sickle - Standard magazine, 20-30 rounds Drum - 40-60 rounds, Prone to jamming Straight - 12-20 rounds, Easier to load Duplus X - Two sickle magazines strapped together
Are there any actual models that use any other magazine than the standard "sickle"?
Are there any actual models that use any other magazine than the standard "sickle"?
Yes, for example a heavy bolter.
Are there any actual models that use any other magazine than the standard "sickle"?
[t]http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/DefaultFW/large/Umbra-Ferrox-Bolters.jpg[/t] Typically the more interesting magazine types show up on Storm Bolters, though.
Those are preheresy models though.
Are there any actual models that use any other magazine than the standard "sickle"?
Yes.

Not sure what the first one is - seems to be a very small Sickle. There are more such as some more of the Legion of the Damned, The Master of the Watch and a few others.
Are the Tau a Dictatorship? They have a Council of Ethereals so i'm not sure - there is no one with absolute power in the Empire.
Depends on how you view it. The rigid caste system would imply a lack of control for the standard citizen, and the altruistic idealogies could be easily manipulated to give one person greater power over the other. Yet, oddly, it seems nobody does this; evidently, the greater good is reinforced in their dictorial manner rather than hollowly used to bind together the empire and strengthen the status quo. So, yes, it is a dictatorship. Just a somewhat necessary one.
It's probably against the Tau's will though.
How is it? They are all raised to follow the Greater Good and the Empire.

Bolters are not Sub Machine Guns, nor will they ever be.
This is you, remember? Here lemme highlight the relevant part.
false interpretation
1. Coming from a Ward apologist, is hilarious. 2.
Well, there won't be an exact version of tabletop ever, anyway. First off, there will always be things the guys will need to change to fit the game they're making. Most importantly, a direct copy would eat into our core business.
3. Making the space marine BP into the pistol from Halo isn't any more of a "false interpretation" than the SMG model.
How is it? They are all raised to follow the Greater Good and the Empire.
In the same way North Koreans are raised to follow Juche and believe in the Dear Leader.

Seriously, you only come across as an asshole.
