Not sure if official, but if it is the Emperor is pretty fucking huge isn't he?
His face reminds me of Ross Noble
How do you mean they're Unorky? I found them to be very Orky, the most Unorky thing was the Warboss sometimes shooting you from a distance instead of jumping down to introduce your skull to his bosspole.
The orks sounded like shit and had no mention of fucking dakka.
[editline]11th January 2012[/editline]
Like seriously. It's not even hard to come up with dialog for orks.

I thought Grimskull was pretty fucking awesome.

He was my favourite in the entire game.
Pouring through the 6e book with my friend who has been playing since he was 12.
He is not amused with it.
Well he is amused with pistols rending in close combat, and the statline for the Graviton Beamer.
Get in there techpriests, you have one shot at S10 rending in closecombat.
He's calling 6e an elfdar codex in disguise at this point.
We'll all be on edge for this summer. At least vehicles are all fearless now. Derp derp.
A thought just occurred to me, could the emperor be brought back to life if the orks believed he was alive?
A thought just occurred to me, could the emperor be brought back to life if the orks believed he was alive?
No, in the same way that Ork guns won't fire if they lack Ammunition, just because the Orks believe it will. The Orks Latent field is more of a grease for the improbable. Their Guns are rusted pieces of crap in the hands of others, but in the Hands of an Ork, they seldom jam and spit a wide variety of death in various calibres.

Well, it sort of works for Yarrick. Kinda.
He might lose that migraine of his.
A thought just occurred to me, could the emperor be brought back to life if the orks believed he was alive?
If enough Orks believed it, maybe. However it's very hard to coordinate Orks, and you'd need a lot of them (even in Orks terms). There is a theory that when the situation of the Imperium will be dire enough, the focused wish of mankind for him to save them will bring him back.

There was an ork Bomma pilot that didn't notice he had no fuel so he continue flying, he only crashed when he noticed the gauge.

Yeah but GW would never advance the plot
Orks pretty much refute that. Their actions should make Khorne the most powerful by far; he isn't, and their stuff works cause they believe it does.
Khorne is the mightiest and the oldest of the chaos Gods.
Ah, you're back.
Did I ever say that the entire Original Space Marine was ruined? No, I had a bone to pick with how they used the Bolt Pistol. That's it, that was the only gameplay video of it released, I've not seen anymore of it, neither have you.
The Game doesn't need to have a load of races to be 40k, I'm not sure why you think it does. If there's enough variety within a single race why add more?
Again, Space Marine was made to bring 40k into the public eye, maybe the casual Console gamer has heard of it? What does he know? He sees Space Marine, plays the demo. It's about this. Space Marines defending the Imperium from Aliens and their evil brothers. The ending was, to some people, Grimdark enough. The walls of Manufactorum Ajakis didn't need to be coated with the tears of Orphans to be all fluffy. At the end, the main character is [sp]Taken away by what the player knows to be the Supreme authority, the FBI/CIA/MI5/whatever, of the Imperium to be interrogated and experimented on, all on the squealing of a Squadmate.[/sp] That was enough for most people, and it left me satisfied.
Are you talking about that Video i posted? The Graphics for that version would of been nicer than what we got, overall it looked more Grimdark.
The Necrons were essentially reverted to an earlier version with some twilight touchy feely goodness, that's pretty much the definition of retcon, without positive or negative connotations.
No, a retcon is a deliberate alteration of previously established facts. The Necrons were just expanded on - previous versions of the Codex said the Necrons we saw were just a few that woke early.
The Necrons were just expanded on - previous versions of the Codex said the Necrons we saw were just a few that woke early.
Umm, no? They completely changed the older fluff for Necrons.
Umm, no? They completely changed the older fluff for Necrons.
Other than the C'tan being changed, it wasn't really. It was expanded upon.
Marines view camouflage as the "color of cowardice" and as such always go into battle with their armor in full color, even their reconnaissance and stealth units. The only sneaky space marine force would be the Raven Guard, they actually have a special character that will let the whole army be sneaky and he is awesome.
Some older versions of warhammer actually had some marines use camo, but that was phased out as the franchise went on.
This isn't to say that marines in camo totaly fliping awesome.
why do they think it is cowardice, is it like world war one mentality? Raven Guard has a pretty cool color like night black, i bought colours today so painting today just letting the spraying dry and pictures will come later. i dont think i will make camoflage since it seems hard but i will make a coloring that i think you guys will look cool.
IMHO it is a little annoying
alright how can i post smaller pictures so that you have to click them to make bigger?
Hello people i really the miniatures of warhamer 40k so i bought a kit of assault terminators and started tweaking around some, what would be the best way to paint them? i think maybe black and white like those black templars but something reverse?
people keep talkign about drybrushing and highlighting, what does that mean and are there videos on how to best do this?
this one came out pretty cool i think

Terminator's neck looks like it's bent, perhaps you could try another position for his head.
I wish it had tyranids
i wub tyranids
It will have tyranids.
Sadly, i think they'll be enemies, though, i don't even think they'll be on either side.
Find a hobby knife and start shaving off some of the extra plastic from the spues off. Then, basecoat it, and paint it, but make sure your paint doesn't go on too thick.
yes i did cut some more after pictures was taken, did not notice earlier but now when you can see the pictures it is more noticeable i think thanks for tip on painting!

i dont think i can change the neck anymore since its superglued
The games SP just pissed me off for how unorky the orks were. Even when I got to chaos, I just decided to stop since I did not want to play the game anymore. Now I only really play exterminatus.
Go and finish the game.
It's worth it, trust me.

Superglue grows weaker in time.
It's easy to take a superglued piece off, try it.

Space Marines are created to fight, they'd think that sneaking around and hiding from the enemy would be dishonourable and prehaps even lacking faith in the Emperor. It's not really their purpose, their purpose is to be in the middle of battle fighting.
That are they wear the Chapters colours with pride.
I'm trying to wrap my head around Chaos Codex, which is much more complicated than Oldcron Codex that I'm used to (Necron Warriors, Necron Warriors, more Necron Warriors).
This is my first stab at it, 1000 points army:

Summoned Daemon works terribly with that. The sorcerers need to get close to make it viable, Thousand Sons are not exactly melee orientated(I 1) (Sorc has force weapon though) (2d6 pick highest movement). It may be viable by popping a TS squad in a rhino. Other than that its a wasted 100 points.

What should I take instead of Greater Demon then? I was thinking maybe a pack of Raptors?
Fucking rhinos
Fucking rhinos
Well, it's not like they're melee-oriented either.

i can see if it works taking it off but i think it can be hard, i used alot of glue and i think i like it the way it is but i will think about the neck for future models
i also went and bought some more space marines like a tactical squad and another terminator box because i read somewhere that you need a hero if you want to play this game and i saw a picture of some sort of guy with a skull helmet unlike the rest of the marines and im working on making that hero in terminator armor because i like the way it looks

oh that makes sense why so many are so happy in color if they want to be seen so that the enemy knows they are coming so they can fight but also stupid because the enemy can abuse that willingness to fight then i guess
Well, it's not like they're melee-oriented either.
You need Rhinos. 35 + 15 for havok x2 will put you at 100 points.

The hero you're looking for is a Terminator Chaplain.

Space marines are 8ft tall superhuman warriors who have been trained from a young age. They can take missles to the chest and still fight. They can survive many things which would kill a normal person. The enemy seeing them isn't going to make much difference.
If you are planning on playing the game though you might want to buy yourself Assault on Black reach set as it has a small rule book and comes with quite a few things (Although you can't change their poses like you can with the other boxes) and you'll need to get yourself a Space Marine Codex.

thats really cool that they are like supersoldiers who can take that damage and still fight like no business, whats that box i dont think the store im buying from had any of them but they did have plenty of other boxes like the space marine stuff i buyed and other races like tau who looked like anime soldiers, i think they had alot of books so is that what you mean with codex because i think i will go to store tomorrow again and buy the rules for the game
I hope so, otherwise I'm not buying it.
No grimdark, no deal.
Does it being black and white matter so much?
I mean, art style is an important part of the game, but it doesn't really judge how good the game is.

It has an effect on it. Would something like Gears of War be the same if it was bright and colourful?
