I've been trying to draw Space Marines for close to five years. They're possibly the most difficult thing to draw, ever.
I'm simmering with rage right now.
fuck proportions, gain pauldrons
If I'd have known how many times Sandy Mitchell uses the same phrase over and over and over in his books, then I'd probably have never bought them.
Nah in all seriousness they're a great read, just get ready for every other paragraph to end with "If I had known what was waiting for me I never would have ____" I'm currently trying to finish off Defender of the Imperium so I can make a start on Eisenhorn.
i have been looking at maybe getting new army and i discussed some with nightlord too on steam and i was thinking tyranids could be good army for me it mean i can do plenty model changing and stuff like that since they are organic so my question is are tyranids good army and what should i get as starting army? i think i have a good force of space marines and maybe thinking getting a predator for space marine but! i had idea
i was thinking for predator tank i would make chassi lower like maybe 10-15% shorter or maybe more but would that make it illegal i was thinking because of hull being lower makes cover better?

Dat Punctuation. What are you asking? Do you want Tyranids? Or a Predator? One or the other.

ok i try again
i was thinking of getting tyranids, but i dont know if they are good enough and what to get that is good
which unit is best for hq and which unit is best for troops for instance?
i was also thinking of getting predator tank, but i think they look ugly as standard as they look like metal box with turret slapped on it and i was thinking of makign it less like metal box by modding it and lowering hull, but would that be legal?

Tyranids can do different types of lists. You can swarm an enemy with loads of weak troops and carry them away on a wave of claws and blades. You can have Warriors as Troops and run a Nidzilla list. It's up to you. But you can seldom go wrong with a Hive Tyrant HQ, they're very customisable.
If it's still clearly a Predator and you bought it from GW, they should let you use it in their store.
you have to tell me more of this thing called nidzilla list, i will also try and write much better in future and use punctuation properly. i sometimes just write what im thinknig and not taking time with spelling so now you will see me taking time to write posts.
you think so? i am a bit worried about people thinking i want to abuse cover rules with smaller tank, so i need some way of still making it seem tall as original but still having shorter hull. how would you guys do such a thing?
All gw products are legal. Have you ever seen the 3e Rhino? its the same height as a based space marine, still legal though.

Nidzilla lists are Tyranid Lists with an Emphasis on big Gribbly monsters. HQ is a Hive Tyrant, Troops are Warriors, Carnifexes, Trygons etc Nothing smaller than a Rhino on the field.
So wait, you can modify the vehicle's size at your leisure, and no one will call you out on it??
Within reason. I can't shrinky dink my Hammerhead to be the size of a rhino.

Really? I've had this for like two days, but whatever I'll find another one.
Any news on the Space Marine DLC? I remember something about a dreadnaught being posted before.

I was only joking around, yo'. I was just sayin', I've had mine for like a week.
You can keep it.
Pretty decent paintjob, although you could really use a contrast colour that works as an eye catcher in the centre of the model. I suggest painting the release button on his jump spack harness gold or something similar. It would improve the general feel of the model a lot.
Silver would work better on the blue.
Just read the first Horus Heresy book, it was pretty damn good.
Glad I spent some time on the Lexicanum, otherwise I wouldn't know wtf was going on.

Haven't heard anything else about it yet.

i am a bit dissapointed in how running marine came out but on the other hand the marine who stands on rock (it is a terminator fist that i cut up like making stone) came out really great and so did marine who stands at attention i think.

If were posting unpainted minis I can post 90% of my army.
No one really cares for unpainted minis unless its a real conversion.
Also what the hell do you glue with?
im using regular superglue but im also using another thing to fill out spaces, it is like liquid green that games workshop make i think but it is brown instead but easy to work with and really strong when hardened.
i like looking at pictures of unpainted minis if they are posed in a cool way and i think my minis are posed in cool ways or well except for running marine but he was fun making nonetheless and part of squad so he had to be included.
i will stop posting unpainted minis in future so no worry for future pictures being plastic gray but instead they will be colored and fun to look at i hope so people can give harsh criticism on terrible painting so i can be better at making it painted.

He is new, don't be so harsh. He only started recently so wants to show what he has done.
Hardly anyone else posts what they have done. There really isn't enough pictures of stuff posted here.
Here's a Kroot i made about 6 years ago:

Six terminators attacked my 5 man noise marine squad.
Only 2 of them got out alive.
[editline]15th January 2012[/editline]
Two of the terminators I mean.
[editline]15th January 2012[/editline]
I've posted errything I've done in the last thread. No point in reposting them.

Kevin Dent, a games industry veteran, tweeted late yesterday that THQ had canceled an MMO it was developing under license from The Games Workshop, meaning Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online (pictured above). Dent went on to say that the publisher had also canceled all projects due for release in 2014 and was in the process of returning intellectual property to their licensors.
Fuck.
Thats a bit...drastic isn't it. Something is going down, as cancelling all planned releases in a year is quite a big thing to do.
Don't use superglue for plastics, also that superglue looks rank and old, you are also using way too much of it.
[editline]15th January 2012[/editline]
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. not DMO.

Nothing wrong with Superglue on plastics, at least then its reusable/changeable if you end up positioning wrong.
I prefer Testor's plastic cement. Gives enough time to work with it
