Was about to post this, so far it seems like it is not true but i'm not going to be completely convinced until we get an official word.
Remember boys and girls, Kotaku is journalism, not news. There is a very fine distinction.

However THQ just signed a multiyear deal with GW so... I don't think they're in trouble considering that SM and SR3 both broke THQ preorder records.

I have a painting marathon to focus on during next week. I have got a 1600 points tourament on Sunday, and my IG army has to be fully painted by then, or I won't get or play. During next week I need to paint a Bane Wolf, 3 heavy weapon teams, a commisar, my commander, 1 plasma gunner, 5 melta gunners and about 15-20 guardsmen to table top standard at least, which is about 20% of my army. Wish me luck...

If I was you I still wouldn't have enough time If I painted from 6 o clock in the morning to 12 o clock at night every day until Sunday. You might have to do 5-10 Guardsmen at a time on a piece of card or plastic.

Also, that IG Squad. Flamer is way too shiny. It needs burned off chrome at the business end.
After reading some dakka posts on 6e, I honestly think its for real. The idea of not pumping out new codices every so often and updating every army to 6e seems like something GW would do, as paint line is also getting shaken up pretty soon. Something big is gonna happen I think.

Yeah, my painting is also pretty slow, and I have quite a high standard for my army, but I guess I have to cut the quality a bit and do mass production, because it is too late to say I'm not coming. At least I don't have anything else to do besides painting this week, because I fucked up my college education :V
Nice to see the THQ rumour is false. Dark Millenium is the only MMO i know i'll enjoy.
So we're having a Kill Team tournament this weekend at the local game store, and someone's going to do something that just further cements my loathing of Spess Mahreenz.
What I planned on doing was just bringing the 50 Grotz + 5 Runt-herds for shits and giggles, which normally could whittle down any army assuming I make lucky rolls to wound.
The douche-kazoo in question? Bringing a Dreadnought because apparantley they're also Elites now.

I'm trying to come up with some cheesy/annoying army to play against a friend of mine who plays exclusively IG, thought Vassal.
From what I understand, a squad of Warp Spiders can:
1) Move 12 inches, since they're Jump Infantry
2) Fire 20+ shots, since Death Spinners are Assault 2
3) Move 6 inches and Assault, dealing damage in the process
4) Move 3D6 inches back, since Warp Spider Exarch gives Hit 'n' Run
in a single turn.
So, theoretically if I, for example, stand behind a building (I like urban maps) I can hit his squads twice and then retreat away in the same turn without ever being hit, right? Correct me someone.
EDIT: Alternatively suggest an annoying vs IG army build of any race.
is getting hive tyrant as hq and two genestealer to make one troop and then one warrior to make one troop good?
i would get one hive tyrant with i dont know what setup (what is good for hive tyrant?) to make for hero tyrant, i think 16 genestealer is good amount for troop but warrior can have many weapon but not sure what to make on warrior, which i would have 3 of.
so question is, how do i kit out the hive tyrant?
is 16 genestealer good amount?
