Warhammer 40K Megathread V2: Matt Ward for Spiritual Liege 2012 - Games

I hate Dark Eldar. Every time I fight them on Vassal they bring a shit ton of dark lances and wipe out half of my army on turn 1.

Yeah, I think that if you can't see the angry face on the dreadknight's pilot it looks less silly.

I like that the only way to make a dreadnight not look like shit is to make a pop culture reference with it.

It's my 18th birthday tomorrow, hopefully gonna get some painting done when I wake up. Yeah, I have the day off because I finished my exams.

What I hate even more than the Dreadknight is the somewhat new Stormraven kit. I really like the FW Thunerhawk, and GW just made a parody of a baby version of it. No good paintjob can make that look even remotely grimdark.

Orks do not mass-produce things, and they certainly don't make things which all look near-exactly the same. And the Daemonettes are self explanitory.

I played a great three way 1000 point game the other day. Me with my Orks, a Chaos player and a Tyranid player. The Chaos player got pretty badly mauled by Tyranid player and then when I finally got into the fight (against a shitton of Genestealers) my Boys actually came out on top in pretty darn good shape thanks to some bad dice rolling by the nid player. Never saw the game through to its entirety but the Nid player technically won the match via kill points because he killed quite a few Chaos Terminators, killed Typhus and wiped out a Thousand Sons squad and a Emperors Children squad. Chaos player wiped out a mob of my Boyz and killed a Zoanthrobe and [i]alot[/i] of Termagants. I killed a shitton of Genestealers and almost lost all of my Killa Kans thanks to some shit Initiative and damned Acid Blood. Comedy moment of the match was my Big Mek's shokk attack gun malfunctioning and him exploding into a billion pieces on my first turn. 'Anything but two ones'

Only 5 have been dry bushed with a layer of paint. Two of the five have the second layer of dry brushing. It think it has partly to do with my LGS closed temporarily or that fact class started again.

My custom plastic Sternguard squad is mostly done, but the sergeant is only primed, and I want to change the pose of two of the marines. Yeah, I don't play Grey Knights or Blood Angels, but I bought I Stormraven anyway.

I haven't seen any that don't have a rollcage.

They do have roll cages but each deffgun and roll cage IS different. Some have teef in 'em, some have copper wire, some have metal studs, some have chunks missing from a choppa swing
