But really, all that changes is what unit you send where, and sometimes the dialogue. Made me very sad, but I enjoyed the campaign nevertheless.
Also units. Because you get to play as da boyz instead of stoopid beakies.
The Ork driving "Daisy" in Retribution is amazing. ME ONLY REGRET... IS EXPLODIN'
He was just annoying.
Apparently all of fp loves da greenskins, now lezz get a right WAAAGH goin'
Anyone else feel like other the past few years Games Workshop has dumbed everything down and made a lot of stupid choices? For example, back when i started about 8 years ago a Bike cost £5 (I think) and the most expensive vehicle was about £30 for a Land Raider. Now everything is atleast 50% more expensive. Smaller things such as the boxes - they used to have either Artwork, or whatever was in the box in some sort of battle scene. Now it's just a generic pose with no thought put into it. Then there's things such as the Daemonette changes, removing the mystery of the Horus Heresy, single people fighting off entire Hive Fleets and other stupid things, not enough Grimdark for Dark Millenium, Matt ward etc. Back when i started it felt more like a Hobby, there was things like Collectors guides and White Dwarf wasn't just advertisment. Now it just seems like they only care about the money. It doesn't seem like it's going to get any better.

Especially the White Dwarfs.

So, I was looking around, and I decided I want to start playing the tabletop game. Is there like some sort of beginner's guide to playing it?

my mind is full of fuck i replayed chaos rising with as much corruption as possible, i expected [sp]avitus to be the traitor as i was commonly told he would be, but no, jonah was the god damn traitor[/sp]
Have a pretty picture:
Is it from the same guy that drawn space marines with terrible proportions?
Is it from the same guy that drawn space marines with terrible proportions?
Looks like it's art from Fantasy Flight's RPG Deathwatch. The Inquisition symbols on the armor also hint such origin.
Is it from the same guy that drawn space marines with terrible proportions?
Probably, i know the guy did a bunch of Inquisition/Grey Knights art and it looked more like the Grand Master he drew was piloting a mech rather than wearing armor.
Probably, i know the guy did a bunch of Inquisition/Grey Knights art and it looked more like the Grand Master he drew was piloting a mech rather than wearing armor.
He's not a bad artist by any means, but he typically illustrates his drawings in palettes that aren't particularly pleasing. Most of the colors clash, and are usually pretty lackluster.

miniwargamer dave is cute, also that where to get started is 100% good. How to start orks, or IG, look for a site to wholesale buy troops. 100 ork boyz $200. DONE.
also that where to get started is 100% good.
then why did you click disagree?
I am rather sure that anyone who wields Tyranids would punch out the guy in the video for the whole "Don't field unpainted miniatures".
Hey, heres a suggestion for the guy starting his own hobby shop. Have a collection of "rental units" that people can use in battles in that store. This lets people who are new to the game, get a feel for it before they buy, and means that anyone with a few less units than they need not have to worry so much. Although make sure they are limited in scope so that buying their own would be a better idea.
Fuck that, Relic, forget DoWIII, the 40K univers is just begging to have a Battle Fleet Gothic game done ala homeworld.
I'd rather have hoemworld 3 and kick some vaygr (or turanic, imperial) butt as kadeshi survivors :P
How is it canon? None of the different endings are canon, except for the 'good' one. [editline]29th January 2012[/editline] But not even the good/pure ending was canon, seeing as [sp]The Force Commander and his squad are sent out to be agents of the emperor's will elsewhere[/sp].
They more or less combined all the endings. In the same way like Deus ex 1 is cannon, but the ending that was chosen was an amalgam of all of them.
I'd rather have hoemworld 3 and kick some vaygr (or turanic, imperial) butt as kadeshi survivors :P
I don't think Relic would be able to pull off HW again, it'd have to pander to a larger market. Plus who the hell wants to play as Hiigarans anyway, they're major dickbags.
It isn't without serious staff changes.
Are the current staff completely different from the ones when i started then? I don't remember Matt Ward but i don't know about anyone else.
removing the mystery of the Horus Heresy.
What exactly is so stupid or dumb about this? it's a fantastic series of books that explains so much background stuff.
my mind is full of fuck i replayed chaos rising with as much corruption as possible, i expected [sp]avitus to be the traitor as i was commonly told he would be, but no, jonah was the god damn traitor[/sp]
[sp]Generally whichever character becomes the most corrupt becomes the traitor. Jonas makes the best traitor. I mean seriously, THAT VOICE.[/sp] [editline]31st January 2012[/editline]
I am rather sure that anyone who wields Tyranids would punch out the guy in the video for the whole "Don't field unpainted miniatures".
I would also like to add in Orks for that one.
What exactly is so stupid or dumb about this? it's a fantastic series of books that explains so much background stuff.
I'm sure they are a great series of books, but having it all written with no leeway is a bad idea.
I'm sure they are a great series of books, but having it all written with no leeway is a bad idea.
Dunno, but I prefare to know what happened, and how, instead of just "Horus rebelled because Chaos->Imperium wins, Emprah mortally wounded"
then why did you click disagree?
Because you said buy AoBR
