So, how does one do good at Taiko?
I hit the notes, but most times i'm either off with my accuracy or I mix up the colors and end up failing horribly.
Taiko is really fun, and I want to get better at it :)

Well, I've played osu! for like a couple of times, but I still feel pretty new. Though, Easy to Normal wouldn't seem such a jump in difficulty. I just assumed the stars were wrong, so I jumped right in!

Yeah, I was wondering what song I should start with to get into osu, and I was curious if there was any Rhythm Heaven songs in it. To my surprise, there was [b]barely[/b] any, but I like Table Tennis and Green Construction, so I picked those up. I was so happy when I heard the custom hitsounds and saw the tennis ball in Table Tennis. <3 (And Normal was actually not that big of a difficulty spike, compared to Rock It For Me)

You get used to it.
Try not to try too hard, loosen up. It comes naturally. Try for harder songs, and when you get better at those, try the songs you thought were hard before. You [i]feel[/i] the difference.

That's what I tried doing after the 9th retry or so.
Though, I think the one thing that catches me off-guard, at the moment, is where circles overlap each other, and either they're the exact same color, or they [b]completely[/b] hide the circle.

That's when you start listening to how many circles makes sense in the song and how many approach circles there are
Whenever I fail a song, I always do a different song between each attempt to make sure muscle memory doesn't kick in.
Once I've gotten A (preferably S) on a song I move up a difficulty. That's pretty much how I've learned to play so far.

Most of these songs are ridiculous and I'm kind of used to EBA's sound effects/hit markers. The default hit markers sound off to me.

There is a sort of co-op where everyone besides you is grey (on your screen) and you just hit the colored circles. And I think there is head to head where you battle against someone else.
