flashlight leaves only a tiny strip in the center of the screen.
oh got the key next to d and a broke
it i literally not working
i think i play o5umania a bit too vehemently and violently
I actually cannot beat this song because my hand starts hurting too much at one point.
I think I should take a break.
How do i even play this i have no idea
A certain boat taught me how to play this game
"press buttons"
is what I was taught
I abide by this rule, I live by it.
No matter what i do in the mania Ones i just cannot seem to do it.
Is it really hard with a keyboard?
how would i make it easier?
Why does every new player jump into Mania first thing? It's by far the hardest gamemode to get into

everyone plays it with a keyboard except some weirdos who actually buy a peripheral.
lotsa practice. Mania ESPECIALLY isn't the kind of gamemode you can master in a month
If you're new I do recommend Standard first though.

If you want to play mania then you're better of playing mania from the start. Same goes for all the other gamemodes. Already being good at one mode doesn't really make you better at another and I can confidently say that transitioning is if not harder to get good at, is far less rewarding and harder to stick with.
From my own perspective the only modes that correlate are taiko and 4k mania. Standard and CTB can't be compared to anything and wont really help you get better at something else. Just play easier maps.

Its not that the map is hard its that most of the time the keys are not registering and when the whole line is full if i press all the keys at once not all of them press ingame

some keyboards do not allow > 5 or 6 keys to be pressed at any one time.
My current one allows 6, then just doesn't register the next one.
I had an old PS/2 keyboard which allowed 7
[editline]29th August 2013[/editline]
Even so full lines are fairly rare and I'd even say isolated to some maps.

On some maps up to 6 can be pressed at once but on a map with 4 rows i can only press 3 max at a time

are you sure you don't just have bad timing? You can hit 3 notes perfectly but if one of your fingers is slow it'll count as 3x MAX and 1x MISS.
During break time, like before a song, try hitting all 4 keys at once. Do all of the lanes light up? If so, then your problem is your multiple-finger accuracy.
Additionally, mania maps can't be ranked if they have more than 6 keys being pressed at the same time, because not everybody has a keyboard with NKey rollover. 6 is the maximum amount of keys you'd be able to press with a USB keyboard.

on "break time" it still only does 3 out of 4 on a 4 max

Try binding different keys
My keyboard only registers 3-7.
What do I mean?
Depending on the order the keys go down, different amounts are allowed.
E.G.
S+D+F will not accept further input, however:
G+F+A+S+K+F is completely fine, as long as I press them down in that order.
didnt know of a keyboard with 2 F-s
Well played.
Try binding different keys
the only keys what actully make it work are only 11 from my whole keyboard: q a h i l o p m b x and spacebar
on the other hand my laptop works fine and i can press everybutton at the sametime excluding any of the shift ctrl ect
So I was playing mania with hidden mode on and I noticed
the higher your combo gets, the more of the bottom is obscured
that's fucking awesome

yep. It's why I enjoy hidden.
The better you do, the harder it gets.
i'm almost ready to mash buttons!!

sometimes I forget which color goes to which fingers though :v:
better than me already
better than me already
heh it's funny because you are really good at taiko good one
Nah people highly overestimate how good I am, but that aside heroicpillow is off to a good start, despite that the map he played to most taiko players doesn't look to be that much, he's already better than so many. I didn't mean to come off in a bad way, keep it up, really.

i've only played like 120 taikos, so it was obviously a sarcastic jest :v:
I almost beat your score on one song anyways
