Do you have all the fancy things disabled? Especially the videos.
Switching to OpenGL also can help, sometimes.
all settings off, explorer.exe shut off, all programs turned off.
I only use it for lecture notes anyway so it don't matter. Would be nice tho :v

I seem to have a problem. Once I get a bunch of S's on the same difficulty I stop having fun on them and end up advancing to higher difficulties, on which funnily enough I am complete ass on.
And yet I can't stop playing and just keep trying over and over. [sp]help me please[/sp]

if song is hard but you can follow it then good
though I aint a pro player take my advice with some salt

In my case it's easier to jump to a note if it's essentially the only thing in existence.

usually when i get a new map thats pretty hard i can after 10 tries or so know if i feel like i have a change to pass it and if i do i just do it until my hands hurt or i pass (maybe do other maps in between)
