I actually have a huge problem with my current tablet area settings/pen grip. I either can't hit the right, left or upper side of the area with my current grip. I hold the pen about mid-height where the top button ends(CTH-470) and I feel kinda uncomfy using it and can barely do the squares on Wahrheit with my current settings. Should I change my grip and use a smaller area or is it not worth it at this point?(I've been using this grip and area for a few months now and changing means relearning everything again...)
If the grip is uncomfortable then change it obviously. Rather learn again while you feel good than get good while hating yourself
Would you guys be interested in an unboxing/review of the osu!tablet once I get mine?
Would you guys be interested in an unboxing/review of the osu!tablet once I get mine?
Do a teardown of it.
Since I don't have any of that fancy stuff, how much does a mechanical keyboard or a gaming mouse help with osu? Most people I see all play with that fancy stuff, is there any real advantage to it?
in my honest opinion the keyboard doesn't make a huge difference, if anything it made me worse because i was so used to rubber dome. The mouse however i can only imagine would make you infinitely more accurate since cheap mice are shit. I wouldn't know since i've only ever used gaming mice or tablet to play. Tablet is god tier though.

[editline]14th December 2013[/editline] Low dpi mouses are better for accuracy anyways (if the sensor isn't complete shit), there's a reason why a lot of cs pros use 10 year old microsoft mouses

Particularly the mouse, I had this big wireless one with massive DPI or something like that and I hated it. This mouse goes where I point instantly without "sliding", it's great. Really light too so I can move it around real fast. Also rate my Osu profile, I'm just beginning to get into taiko so don't judge me there: http://osu.ppy.sh/u/2559556 [editline]14th December 2013[/editline] Speaking of taiko, do you guys have any suggestions or general techniques that a beginner wouldn't know?

Would it be possible to get a name change without donating, by using the excuse that I've been a member for four years? I hate putting money in my paypal. Also, is a tablet really better for osu? I do wonder if it truly is greener on the other side, since I played EBA/Ouendan on the DS.
You can pay with sms. Just 4 bucks for a month, donate and change name. most pros play with tablet though getting good with mouse isn't impossible.
Don't pay by text though. They charge like almost twice as much. also 1:45 pls
A few days ago I've noticed that my pen seems to have a loose contact. I'm not going to lie about my own stupidity here, but once when I raged maybe a month or two ago I did give it a good smack through my whole room.( Of course I regret this decision ever since ) But it didn't really show any problems until now. Sometimes, after putting it down and picking it up again it isn't recognized by the tablet and I have to give it a light smack for it to work again. A new pen costs 25€, anyway to fix this without having to buy a new one? I mean, it doesn't really happen that often and it doesn't happen while playing, but still, I'm worried to death that it'll soon give up on me and that I then won't be able to play osu! properly until I get a new one and 25€ is still a huge amount of cash for a piece of plastic with a sensor in it.

Wait, he changed supporter to a subscription? So I lost supporter.. What the fuck, I don't want to pay monthly for direct downloads. There was no indication that this may run out when I purchased it in the first place. [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] Oh wait its always been a subscription? Wasn't very clear, or I have a crap memory.
http://osu.ppy.sh/p/support Current Supporter tag is valid until Mar 13, 2014! You still get the profile whatever on your user page but no more o!d
o!d is the only reason I bought it. That sucks, I'm trying to save money. Guess I'll go without.
what's o!d
osu!direct
osu direct? As in download songs in-game.
