The ranking systems never liked me.
Just because I don't like to play with mods.
A friend plays normal/easy maps with Mods and he gets higher rankings but he sucks at harder maps.
Can't remember which song but I played one with hidden once and it put me from about 10,500 to 8,600. :v:

I feel really bad for basically having farmed my way up to 11k with Hard maps. I'm not even able to pass Mythologia's End or any other "Asian difficulty".

Though maybe I should add that I am indeed able to decently pass most Insanes, Lunatics and so on. Just not those maps that are publicly claimed to be difficult.
I kind of wish that as you advanced in the rank, your scores would be hidden and ignored on easier songs. To stop all that bullshit where all easy songs are all FL+HD+DT+HR and normal HD+DT+HR. Or atleast complete seperation of rankings between mods and nonmods.

That wasn't from one song, a bunch of his scores just got calculated I assume. Give it a few days to stop having seizures. Also my rank is still dropping and I don't even play standard anymore, cool shit.

He's not mad though. I'd even say he would be justified in being mad at people who don't read.
He's specifically stated that ppv1 was objectively broken and that ppv2 isn't finalized yet, which means everything will change.
While a ladder system would probably be awful depending on how he implements it, at this time there is no reason for anyone to cry about anything.
The problem is that he removed ppv1 without ppv2 being ready. You normally have the successor ready before retiring the first system.
Well too bad. ppv1 was incorrectly calculating scores so the longer he let that thing fester the worse the results would probably have been.
But it wasn't calculating scores incorrectly.
It wasn't calculating any scores at all, ppv1 ceased to exist after November.
All I'm saying is that ppy needs to be a little more clear and concise with his announcements and maybe try and plan launches/releases/transitions better.
ppv1 was calculating after november, just wrongly - which should have been rectified far before then but this is peppy we're talking about
peppy will explain the shit he wants to explain when he wants to explain it, that's just how he is - until then complaining about it is a waste of time
