The touch function on the P/T is pretty useless, but the pen comes with an eraser and apparently has higher levels of sensitivity.

The stars are the beatmap rating, not the difficulty.
I've played this for some time, still not very good at it in my opinion. Mostly do hard/normal+ stuff, but I haven't played a lot recently.

I've been playing some mouse only lately, it's kinda fun to try and pass all the old insanes I can fc with dt.
I only do hidden, I can't do DT because the max stream I can do with my hand is 160 BPM lol
I wish I was still good at playing with a mouse :x

Could be you played new songs and a lot more people have played them since then, as well as the fact that they're older scores and won't count for as much.
If you really want to "farm" PP, just play easys with mods on and make sure you get in the top 20.

Think of it like a stock bank. There are a limit to the amount of rank 300-500 which will award pp, 200-300, 100-200, 50-100 etc until eventually you end up where whitewolf is (which is why he isn't at 20,000 pp).

This chart may be out dated a little but it's still quite accurate, other factors are taken into account (as in getting rank one on emotional sky scraper wth hd hr fl and 93% accuracy may not be worth much pp).
Go and search for yourself where the hardest approved maps are on the listings:
don't say "lazy" - tag4
utage wa ein ni ~shd~ - tag4
barusa of muikosu - tag4
night of knights - tag4
freedom dive - four dimensions
atama no taisu - nogard
The position of atama no taisu kills me to look at because the map is so hard to clear.

Looking through, utage wa ein ni's tag4 difficulty isn't even on there but the solo diffi which is one thousand times easier stands near the top of the rankings.
I thought playing with a tablet would be way harder, I'm origionally left handed in writing and I use the tablet right handed and yet I can somewhat do hard songs after 3 songs already :).

It's mirrored because I had to record it using my macbook, auto mirror.
I had a foot rest with a box on it which had books on it and said books had a laptop on it and on top of that was a mac book.
So you only get pp points for maps listed there? Or are those just the ones that give you the most?

Those are just the most rewarding maps.
The only good thing this ranking system does is reward higher ranks. Thing is it doesn't seem to calculate mods like doubletime/hardrock over flashlight/halftime/hidden, problem here is it requires a higher physical ability to play dt/hr unlike hd/fl.
It's not a terrible system but the maps picked for higher weightings are just bullshit stupid.
