Doing a 2-hour long combat patrol, everything is going smoothly and we're down to the last 15 minutes before extraction when I hear jets approaching, I order my team to take cover inside a building and we narrowly avoid being blasted to bits as the houses across the street are blown to smithereens. The jets fly off and after waiting a bit to see if they return we cautiously enter the street again. We're asked to take out a convoy coming our way, so I set us up on the nearby rooftops and wait. The convoy gets taken out after a long and increasingly desperate fight as more and more of my squad get shot and put out of the fight. I end it all with a well-placed grenade just under the engine block of the truck they're cowering behind. We're down to 5 minutes until extraction and I spend that time getting everyone back on their feet. I haven't lost a single squad member. As the final minute counts down, we're stood overlooking the sun setting on Zargabad on a nearby hill. Our machinegunner spots an unknown person and opens fire without warning and one of the bullets strike me in the back of the skull.
I can't make it to the FP vs airsoft game... so yeah..
I'm planning on making a serious-ass machinima in ArmA II.
When I was watching the trailer for Inception, I thought that the film would be about people who went into dreams to protect them against nightmares and PTSD, a sort of therapy that's non-intrusive and super-high tech.
Turns out the actual film isn't like that, was excellent anyways.
However, I do want to make a machinima based on my first idea, in ArmA II
however, my computer is not good enough to film at highest setting. If anyone does, and would be interested in said project, please let me know. I alsl need voice actors and actors, however I do have the entire thing storyboarded and have a script written. Thanks!
Do I get to shoot and blow shit up?

possibly. however most of filming (from my experiences) involves people standing around and giving directions, finding animations that look good, and cutting things that look bad.
It'll be a pretty big headache considering I can't directly film, however I think that this could be amazing if pulled off right.
if you don't think you can be that srs, well, you might not be the right person.

done. I'm still trialling ideas though, so I'll probably ask you.
I've been working on a zombie mission for the past 9 hours and I am still not even at 10%. What I missed from current avaible zombie missions is the real feel the open shit and controlled hard slow zombies also darkness, lots of darkness.
Basicly my mission starts at your own farmers little home, you don't have anything you need to check your map for markers (no mission goal or waypoints, you can decide your own ways, way to city? way to airport? castle way?) there are markers on many points so far the furthest is about 3km, a good thing is to follow the road so you don't get lost but first you check your weapon storage where an lee enfield with 2 mags aswell as an makarov or m1911 with 3 mags awaits you. You go to the place you choose to while there are little outposts and interesting things every now and then on all journeys (aswell as ammo storage or corpses with empty weapons etc.) so the journey don't gets boring, also almost all zombies have waypoints to certain areas.
To long to explain but it really gives an great feeling and there is lots of stuff to explore and to find.
I suggest you make it coop so I can host it on the server, Darkslicer.
I've had ArmA 2 for a while but now I decided to get AO as well. Looking forward to be playing some MP with yall in the future. :v: What mods do you use? ACE?

We don't normally use ACE but we've been using it for the past few days. We have our own addon pack and in the works on managing our own custom six updater repo. Join the group and contact cuel or myself for any other inquiries if you have them :)
Are there any cool servers out there? I am pretty new to arma (got all the addons) joined some rp server but I was lost because there was no tutorial or anything, same for all the other weird mods.
TAW servers. Just put TAW as a filter and they have co-op domination servers running all the time.
There were some pretty neat missions in Armed Assault's campaign. The mounted HMMVW patrol was good practice in small team commanding, if nothing else.
how is your english
Sorry to be an asshole, but I'm really curious, do they really say "mothertongue" instead of "mother language" or "first language"?
