That's actually an awesome idea.
We played a mission like that at a LAN, where we were all dogs. It was pretty awesome to hide in buildings until the helicopters flew past, then run down the street to the next building before they could make another pass.
I'm getting home early tomorrow so be prepared for a game and a practice session (remember the anal lube).

Anyone here want to add me on Steam just to play around on OA once in a while? Only 1 person on my friend's list has it and they can't due to a crappy backup GPU since his other one basically melted.
Sure, I tried to get my brother into ARMA 2 Free to have him try it out, but he ended up taking a bike in a mission into enemy lines then bitched about how they hit him 500 meters away. :v: Does it matter if it's the steam version or not?
LOL He just needs to learn that it isn't CoD. Also, no, it doesn't matter.
He never plays CoD, just mostly source games. But he kind of did have a reason, he was on their entire other flank where nothing was happening about 2 miles away and still got hit.

BY THE WAY Team size for the match on Saturday has been made. We have 12 people per team. That means your appearance in the match is based on your participation on tomorrow's practice and the practices we had last week, then if you have a microphone or not. See you guys on the field!
Quick question, how do you use mounted gun sights in ACE 2? I keep on seeing people use them in the videos, but I don't know how to myself. Same goes for the wind meter.

I do 1 km shots with that thing. But yeah when I roll, I roll in a BMP-2 because that's how I roll. Sure other vehicles can eat it for breakfast but it's the only vehicle that can engage everything and not really suck.

Same goes for the wind meter.
I think the default binding is zero on the numpad. As for the wind meter, the default binding is something arcane like Ctrl-K. In any case, the latter should be somewhere your ACE controls (Escape -> ACE settings -> keys) if you need to look it up.
i can join you guys in 2 or 3 hours. if you're playing that is
Alright well looks like this training isn't going well to begin with. If you're interested in playing in the game you have to make it obvious to me that you want to play. Either way, you've all disappointed me by not showing up D:<<< I'm going to try this again in three hours or so.
Still only five people. Still disappointed. I count you guys know your shit game day. If you want to play on Saturday, do yourself a favor and be ready for a training session at about 10AM EST/GMT -5 so we can get some stuff down and then a break for an hour and a half or so until the match starts :) sorry bout the double roast
I just realized thats 4AM in the morning CET (GMT +1). Keep me on the roster for now, i'll probably be able to play but not 100% sure.
I probably won't be able to attend any of the training sessions, hella bussy, but I think I should do fine without it. I will attend the actual event though. If you set up an event, there can be no misunderstandings as to when it starts, people just look in community and know.
