I'm really sad with the direction they took with that, instead of improving what it's needed they made it futuristic and even harder to run, even though the graphics are not that much better.
I'd be happy with it if they just gave ArmA 2 the much needed damage models, physics and gunplay, then some new maps, campaign, factions, vehicles, weapons, slap a 3 on it and you got the best armed assault ever. What's so hard about keeping the best and fixing the worst ?

Please fix the AI this time.
And multiplayer lag.

almost all of what you complain about in the second paragraph can be fixed with a couple of mods, imo they need to add more core features from vbs2 and better implementation of viewdistance and weather effects/seasons (dcs a10 is a good example of how to properly do weather and seasons)
i think it would be a good idea for them to offer the weapons/units from oa/baf/pmc as day1 dlc or included so you dont end up with a flaky community conversion like with oac/caa1

I like the futuristic setting. It allows for a bit of creativity while still being constrained to realistic simulation of ballistics and teamwork tactics.
Plus the ingame in the video is from the start of last year during the alpha stage, of course it's going to be much improved when they release new gameplay footage.
If you're that bothered by the setting you can just use the ArmA 2 content in ArmA 3, just like you can use the content from ArmA in ArmA 2 :v:
Hop on TS3 if you're interested in people we need more of you to substitute some of our guys.
1st round of Zargabad TDM IFAP got pasted, second was close, 2 or 3 kill difference
Amazing game, urban warfare, house breaching and everythin'. Best of all IFAP got whatfor.
Please fix multiplayer lag.
That's basically fixed in latest ARMA 2 patches.
So far it's 1-1 for the IFAP map and we're just starting the Cuel's Chernarus A&D scenario mission. We also played the tower and ended 1-1 but that was a warm up ;)
omg the tower. Such an epic Mao. Good luck posting from My iPhone like à PRO
Facepunch ArmA 2 is victory!
The second round I play in (I joined late), I get told that I'm cheating. I'll take that as a compliment :v: According to our enemy my PKM rounds EXPLODE.
Oh and, if I didn't mention it yet, I'm actually very impressed as to how you guys performed today. While in the practices you guys didn't seem to communicate very well but when game day came around you guys knew exactly what to say and how to say it. I can't really say more than that I'm pretty proud of you guys and we've come a long way from shooting each other in the face during zombie missions :)
We won? Coolio
It would've been great if I didn't crash like 2 times during the Zargabad PVP and during the 3'rd round of cuel's PVP map
so wait did you guys win
so wait did you guys win
yes 3-2
Your PvP mission cuel is probably one of the best missions I've ever played.
You need to do something about the LAV though, it completely outclasses the BTR, might be better to just remove them both completely?

replace BTR with BMP and see how that goes.

Then replace the LAV with a Bradley.
Then replace the LAV with a Bradley.
depends on whether USMC or US army are in the mission tbh.
LAV/Bradley are evenly matched afaik
not even close
bradley has more armor, tracks, TOWs, and a 30mm instead of a 25 iirc
bmp and bradley
btr and lav

I'm talking about their capabilities in game. Yeah they aren't evenly matched IRL, but in-game it seems like the LAV and Bradley are fairly close in game. that small amount of more armor seems to have only a marginal benefit.
The Bradley's TOW is a huge advantage, though.
Tested dxtory in the game today (MUCH better than Fraps), didn't get anything super interesting on video, but here's a hind stalking us:

Unfortunately I wasn't recording during the PVP game, so I can't show the part where I mowed down most of the enemy team with my PKM. Great spacing there guys, 50m my ass :v:
I heard the PVP Game was really close, good job GGD team! We should play again sometime.
I still love in the 1st round of the second map when I caught the whole enemy team crossing the street near our lines and brought our whole team down on them.

yeah in-game
the bradley is tracked, you can't shoot the wheels out with a mg, and has a tow. same with the bmp.
this game looks fucking badass. I wish I had a good enough computer to boot this thing.

its badass as fucking
also that was a good game, we got destroyed but i hada shitload of fun. i liked cuels mission

Bradley is 25mm

Okay it doesn't outclass the BTR at all. They're very evenly matched. I don't think it's really fair to put the skill of the players manning them on the technical fact that they're practically the same vehicle in Arma.
