damn, replayed this mission in a nostalgia moment I expected a catfight when these two ladies met
Oh man that mission. We tried to stop her car by parking the LAV in front, she came down that hill road in the town near the FOB SO FAST she glitchily aired straight over it. The panicy chase afterwards was made more hilarious by how fast she was driving, she was like a female, Colin McCrae.
Regardless, I don't even know why we counted the LAV-BTR games. You guys destroyed us on every other occasion, guess our tankers are just pro :v:
My evasion tactics are way cooler, tho. :v: If you didn't blew up the barn I took cover in the chase would have been much longer.

I caught Lagushina by accident while listening to 4 locals talk about the red square bombing, she just walks right past and I'm all like "FREEZE MOTHERFUCKER" I load her up into the LAV and roll off. shortly afterwards a Humvee with Mk 19 comes past and smears those 4 talking locals all over my LAV... damn american drivers I'm pretty pissed. While I'm waiting for the chopper to come and pick up Lagushina, Galkina comes driving in her little red car up the road, so I block it with the LAV and get out, she comes out and talks to me. Since Lagushina gets out too, I expected a catfight to happen. That's why I took that photo. Speaking of which Lagushina actually got shot when I was playing through that time, I'm damn lucky she didn't die. I had to get O'Hara to heal her. I'll bet she'll sue O'Hara after the war for sexual misconduct, :v:

i'm trying to play the oa campaign again but the ai is making me furious and i keep bashing my keyboard
OA campaign is pretty interesting because you can "fail" the mission in ways and the campaign will still advance. If you get shot down in the helicopter combat mission you will get a mission with the specops guy afterwards where you save the pilots. Also if you fail the final mission in eliminating colonel aziz, you will get an "epilogue" mission where you are a special forces man sent alone to kill him when he's been relocated after his escape.

ArmA 2 vanilla has ~5 endings 3 of which I've seen. I remember playing OFP: Resistance and being presented with that choice with helping that guy and turning him in, or attempting to negotiate.
and their driving skills ay caramba
I'm willing to bet that Bohemia made the friendly AI super-dumb on purpose in order to make the game more harder.

they just drive away from me (3 meters) so that i can't get in doesn't matter if they're on the road or not
I'm willing to bet that Bohemia made the friendly AI super-dumb on purpose in order to make the game more harder.
actually driving was better before recent patches
gotta say that i enjoy the arma 2 campaign much more than ao

When I was evacuating her a CDF hind came around and started shooting some stuff. AI being AI, the hind crashed into some trees on the first pass, moments later as i was trying to get her to do stuff i say a Chedaki Dishka UAZ came out of nowhere and nailed Lagushina in the face. Oh well...

I think ARMA 2 is the only game that managed to put in mass graves and war crimes, but managed to keep them as subtle as they would be at that point in time, too. I mean holy shit compare the squad's reaction of finding a mass grave and the grave itself to the one of games like Homefront.

(no sarcasm) IMO the arma one was creepier, just because you HEAR the flies first, then you see the grave and it's like "holy fuck"

I realized I was standing on a pile of dead bodies only when Cooper started talking, and that was one of those god damn terrible feelings I only get in Amnesia-esque horror games.
