I got the free version and I really love the editor, nothing like making planes bomb an airfield to shit and helicopters dropping in troops to clean up the rest.
Just have a question, does anyone know how to place vehicles in the Aircraft carrier? They all spawn under the carrier in water.

I've wondered that too. I've had this idea of putting an artillery piece on there and bombarding the island.

Go and press ID, and then type the ID in the int field. But I'm not very sure, better to consult the BI forums for help.
Well played my first multiplayer game of Arma2:CO, Insurgency Takistan map, on a public server (now I see why people avoid playing on them). I had great fun with the other few guys playing with me, not too serious but still playing properly, except when me and another guy got wounded on a quadbike and I could still drive so we then went on a rampage, but played normally again afterwards.
15 minutes later, massive lag hits the server, it goes from 14 players to 7 almost instantly. Turns out some fucker was hacking, he had a mic too, some prepubescent kid playing from the US on a New Zealand server. Luckily one of our guys had the sense to talk rationally and managed to convince the hacker to leave and 'hack ethically' or something. After the hacker left, lag cleared up, then we had a great hour playing, and then the server crashed :(.
I can see now why public games are considered pretty lousy, although we still stuck together in teams and worked together, and I had a great time, so I will definitely try more pubs because I keep missing the FP games and I don't want to join a clan
Arma and Public Servers don't mix. You want a good 20 player Warfare Co-op server with ACE is what you want. My God will you have some good times

We tried out ACRE not too long ago, it's not a bad program but so many people had trouble running it and it caused some issues on the server so we decided to scrap that idea, but it's going fine with Teamspeak as it is.

Have you tried to verify game cache?
Update your drivers?
If that doesn't help, welp, I dunno.
Yeap done all of that. I'm going a full reinstall of Arma 2, OA, PMC now. I've deleted all remaining files aswell just to be sure.

Use this code in the init field of whatever your trying to get on the carrier;
this setPosASL [getposASL this select 0, getposASL this select 1, 15.9];
May need to adjust it abit to get things to sit right and I think some stuff just won't place properly on the carrier. Also, I've uploaded some text files with scripts that I have on how to do stuff like chopper insertions/extractions, artillery etc. They're just taken from various threads on the BIS forums but it helps to have an offline version that you can quickly refer to. Don't play on random public servers. Get in a group who plays ArmA 2 and play on organized games.
