Handles just fine if you know how to fly it.
It's like when your below 250MPH and bank left or right its almost impossible to lose Altitude.
Is it me or the A-10 Handles like ass?
AV-8B (harrier) is alot better in the game, the A-10 is pretty heavy.
Would I be able to run this game with this: Ignore the video card please.
ignore the video card? you can't play it with that video card.
AV-8B (harrier) is alot better in the game, the A-10 is pretty heavy.
Its very, very maneuverable in real life though. It can practically turn on a dime.
ignore the video card? you can't play it with that video card.
I know. Just want to know if I only have to upgrade the video card.
Would I be able to run this game with this: Ignore the video card please.
Your cpu is old. It will be able to run, but not smoothly unless you do a bit overclocking.
Well played my first multiplayer game of Arma2:CO, Insurgency Takistan map, on a public server (now I see why people avoid playing on them). I had great fun with the other few guys playing with me, not too serious but still playing properly, except when me and another guy got wounded on a quadbike and I could still drive so we then went on a rampage, but played normally again afterwards. 15 minutes later, massive lag hits the server, it goes from 14 players to 7 almost instantly. Turns out some fucker was hacking, he had a mic too, some prepubescent kid playing from the US on a New Zealand server. Luckily one of our guys had the sense to talk rationally and managed to convince the hacker to leave and 'hack ethically' or something. After the hacker left, lag cleared up, then we had a great hour playing, and then the server crashed :(. I can see now why public games are considered pretty lousy, although we still stuck together in teams and worked together, and I had a great time, so I will definitely try more pubs because I keep missing the FP games and I don't want to join a clan
Haha, I had the distinct pleasure of finding an adversarial public server once. I remember grabbing a basic FAL with open sights and just dominating people by shooting through windows, popping out on rooftops, dashing across streets and just generally fucking them up. I'm not sure why everyone was so awful, they must have been used to co-op. Or I joined an orphanage's ArmA server.
Finished my FreeTrack head tracking device. Arma II is never the same again for me.
unless your a pilot all the time headtracking is pretty unless in arma, it just fucks you over when playing as infantry
I Can't believe that my computer can run the free version on low. This computer is a piece of shit. Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.vistasp2_gdr.101014-0432) Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual-Core QL-62 (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz Memory: 2814MB RAM Chip type: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (0x9612)
Well that was a fun game. Sadly I didn't get any screenshots of my business man with an AK running in the woods, away from zombies. And good news for some, we decided to get ACRE again! :buddy:
Finished my FreeTrack head tracking device. Arma II is never the same again for me.
I'd love to get head tracking in Arma II, but FreeTrack requires IR lights that I don't have, HeadTrackNoIR doesn't work on sandy bridge processors because of a faulty dll and TrackIR is too expensive :saddowns:
Can those with homemade FreeTrack IR devices please post a pic or two? I've tested out FreeTrackNoIR but it's really not enough, so I'm going to make a proper FreeTrack setup.

I have never played this game Online. Do anyone want to play coop or something?
Can those with homemade FreeTrack IR devices please post a pic or two? I've tested out FreeTrackNoIR but it's really not enough, so I'm going to make a proper FreeTrack setup.
This is my setup. It's ugly, makes me look like a dork, and hazardous to small children but it works well and I love it.

It's fairly light and comfortable on my headphones (which by themselves are already really light)

They were designed specifically to be mounted on a pair of AD700s. It's terrifying I know

I put a dab of hot glue on the tip of the LEDs (haha as if there isn't enough hot glue everywhere else already) to help diffuse the light a little more The springy metal I broke off some old curtain hangers. The frame I made from aluminum wire I found in a dusty shed. Same goes for the wrapping wire. The velcro I found in a box of old sewing supplies. No I don't live in the post apocalyptic wasteland. Everything here was built with $20 of parts and very little time. I've found the trick with FreeTrack was to give the Yaw and Pitch axes a little deadzone so that you can relax your head naturally without struggling to try to center the view every time. Also, to help the camera pick up the LEDs, you can try to file down the LEDs to diffuse the light or do as I did. Hope this helps.
unless your a pilot all the time headtracking is pretty unless in arma, it just fucks you over when playing as infantry
I disagree, head tracking helps your situational awareness quite a lot even while infantry. Also peeking from behind walls is much better with headtracking. PM me if you need any help.
I got my TrackIR 5 used for half price. It definitely makes piloting planes and helicopters much better.

Had another fun pub game of insurgency just then. Server crashed though, second time out of two times that I've played the server :( Still had heaps of fun though. If I'm enjoying pubs this much, I can't imagine how much fun proper games would be. Probably something like Love the Hind or the Shacktac videos or something I guess.
has anyone got a version of ace insurgency 0.75 on there pc that has been edited to include a regular weapon box rather than the loadout system and use the zargabad map? if so could you upload it somewhere please
what's wrong with the loadout ? [editline]26th June 2011[/editline] here are some old versions of insurgency http://www.mediafire.com/?8gsv6l7ophk7tqo [editline]26th June 2011[/editline] the 0.75 version is using ace however.
The VF1 from Macross has been released (fighter/mech hybrid). It's rather cool and you can transform between a couple of the modes, but full mech mode isn't available. Gerwalk mode(half jet half mech pretty much) HUD booting up while canopy shuts.
