How come when I tried to join it said the server was full with 17/17 but then later on it was at 20/20?
Changed missions
I have a question regarding mods in Arma II: ever since I installed a few mods I cannot join a single server, something about keys and content that's not allowed. So how do I join servers without moving every single mod away from my game directory?
I'm guessing you didn't use modfolders?
Aw, was having a load of fun then. I was patiently waiting an RPG to our Humvee. Btw, Talon, you mentioned last page about having a server with ACE and stuff. Me and this Zozamex guy host every Saturday with our own modpack. Would be nice to actually play some of the bigger ACE missions because we mostly only get 8 people tops.

damn hq paradropping useless ammo when we're in need of AT weapons. fuck you hq
Ah, that gets me a chance to figure out what the hell to do with this Six Updater. What exactly does ACE add that most people use that isn't already in Arma? I know what it adds, but nothing really seems to be necessary to play and have a good time.
you fought well with the satchels. i shed a tear :'(

Arma's sounds are shit, and compared to ACE's new ones, Bad Company 2's are shit

Oh my.) new weapons, the list goes on.
Should have separated the satchels a little. And I think Profan said something about that 'sneaking up on an APC is not a good idea', I agree after getting mowed down. Didn't someone touch the BMP and fuckin fly? Just ran up to it with his hand up screaming in Borat's voice High Fiiiiive, and then went into low earth orbit
we could've had them if someone had not planted their satchel right next to us. and then he blew it up waaay to early [editline]3rd July 2011[/editline] i'm pretty bad at scripting so if someone could point out the problem with this i'd be happy. it worked flawlessly in SP. http://pastebin.com/VCAeR79D i guess i could use execVM instead but i just found some code that i copy pasted. i used that code on the players init field aswell to give them the right gear and that worked. [editline]3rd July 2011[/editline] oh wait it didn't add ammo to the backpacks. it did in SP but not in MP. http://pastebin.com/gQ90j0c4
Who was that actually? :v: My two cents on Person.
Nice game.

Did I mention it comes with an AC-130 ready-to-go?
ACE doesnt feature a AC-130 in fact the only AC-130 for arma is just a bunch of scripts no actual model. there are a lot of aspects to ace that could do with improvement such as its poor stamina system and wounding system but overall its an improvement over vanilla if you play a lot

It must have been some mod I had running. Oops.
Any specific ATI ATT or CCC options I can change to speed my game up? I'm dying to hear of that magic option or tweak that can increase the performance.
I use this AC-130 mod. Its epic. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=10136 Read the Readme fully.
I already have ArmA 2, so do I need to buy Combined Operations to get the combined installation or just Operation Arrowhead?
Just Operation Arrowhead. You'll be able to run Combined Operations when you start OA, it gives you an option.
Just Operation Arrowhead. You'll be able to run Combined Operations when you start OA, it gives you an option.
Sweet! Just saved me...$2.50 that I might have otherwise spent. I guess I should pull the trigger now, OA isn't going to get cheaper than $20 any time soon.
So for installing it for Combined Ops, are these instructions right? http://ace.dev-heaven.net/wagn/Installation#How%20do%20I%20configure%20ACE? Or should i be also installing the config.hpp thing into my Operation Arrowhead (and installing the mod folders into my OA Folder too?)
You should only have the two downloaded, and you can right click on OA in your games library and pick "Launch Arma2: Combined Operations" That's all I did and seems to be working just fine
So once that's run, the mod folders should be installed where, ArmA2 folder or OA Folder (which I'm guessing is where they go, and I'm downloading the SM_ACEX and the others as well, give that it says they're for CO)
You can put the mod folders in one or the other, I suggest not putting the mods in both, aslong as you're running Combined Operations. I keep mine in my ArmA 2 folder because it makes the path shorter than having 'Operation Arrowhead' in it.

Sorry if I can't totally understand your question, I can't brain at this time of the hour. But to clarify a few things for people who have ArmA 2 and not OA on Steam. Combined Operations is when you have both ArmA 2 and OA installed, which means, aslong as you have the two games installed, you'll be able to run Combined Operations one way or the other. When it comes to Steam, if you have ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead installed, and launch Operation Arrowhead, you get the option to "Start ArmA II: Combined Operations", which then ofcourse, starts CO, which is ArmA 2 and OA in one.
i keep getting kicked from every server i try to join for some reason i dont have any mods installed anyone know why that would happen?
