I love SLAMs in ACE. Weights less than a kg and can take out pretty much any vehicle. (even T-90s with a single device)
It can be used as an original mine, IR-sensor side attack mine, timed mine or remote mine.
As it uses explosively formed penetrator, it can be placed even 15 meters away from target, making it ideal ambush device even against human players. I have made excellent ambushes against convoys in Chernarus by hiding SLAMs in the grass around roads and using the IR sensor attack. It's great for blocking movement in streets (as long as you mark the SLAM positions for friendly forces) in Takistan and Zargabad and it has saved my life dozens of times as the sensor even detects infantry.
It even becomes inert (M2) or self-destructs (M4) after 4, 10, or 24 Hours.
So does anybody know if i have a custom sound in my mission, will other players be able to hear it over multiplayer?

If you include it in the folder of your mission and add it to the Description.ext file, yes. The whole folder gets packed into a .pbo and sent to all of the players.

Assuming it's actually synced properly in the mission for it to play for all of the players that is, a simple trigger will not work most of the time.

Well it depends on how you're using the sounds in the first place, there are many ways of syncing things between players from publicvariables to eventhandlers.
If you're not into scripting though, the "double trigger" method is probably the easiest to do.

Also this works, just tried it even though I have ARMA 2 already, the extra cd-key might come handy some day.
If you have the free2play version of ARMA 2 you should go there and get the full version for free to use mods. Apparently the codes will only be valid for this weekend.
I suppose they don't work on steam?
Arma is getting kind of boring now because I don't have any friends that own a decent pc to play arma with me, I just created my armoured cow army and I want non-console enthusiasts friends to play multiplayer with.

What am I checking for with both triggers? The custom sound is just ran when Blufor reaches a point?

Triggers are local, they only get executed on the client that activated the trigger, which is why you have to broadcast that for everyone and the double trigger is one way of doing that.
So basically just put everything in your current triggers onAct field to the second trigger and replace it with something like:

and in the second trigger have triggerSound as the condition.

I just downloaded ARMA 2 through The Sun and Greenman Gaming, but it doesn't work.
I was playing the Free version with no issues, but when I tried playing the full ARMA 2, it connects to the server, I choose my role, it downloads the mission script, takes over five minutes to get through the loading screen, then hangs on "Receiving data...". After a few minutes I'm kicked from the server with the reason "You have been kicked off the server (BattlEye: Client not responding)"

Have you tried reinstalling BattlEye/updating it?
First ArmA 2: Free is released, then it's on sale, now it's completely free. What next? They'll pay you for playing it?

I downloaded the latest version from their website. Still happens.
Got the same problem as you Spessmehren, i connect - download mission- loading screen appears = pops back to server select !
Run the game in admin mode, Battleye requires that from what I remember.

I hope so.
I don't think its BattlEye. I joined a server that had BattlEye disabled, waited for 12 minutes at the loading screen, and another five minutes at the "Receiving data..." screen, and actually spawned, but it was so laggy it was unplayable.

SixUpdater shat itself so I can't play ACE anymore. Welp back to armory mode.
My problem was (yet again) wireless networking. Either I need to find a better driver, or this is the first game I've found that cannot be played at all with wi-fi.
