I finally got around to playing with the armory, and It seems like every mission is broken in some way or another. I don't really see why they bothered including it, when the editor is a better way to test things. It seems like it always gives me missions like "Drive 200 meteres in 4 seconds" when I'm driving around in an old sedan. The AI isn't really good enough for the race missions to work either. Especially the helicopter races, where they crash on takeoff half the time.
Alright, i found a solution to the problem with recieving mission info and then getting kicked back to servers, follow these steps: Start by uninstalling your current BattlEye ! then do this: 1. check for a folder called Bohemian interactives or w/e the game producers are called, its something like that. 2 if you dont have one create it inside your program install directory. 3. in this folder transfer your ArmA 2 folder (with all the stuff in it) into it. (just copy it dont cut it) 4. inside your transfered ArmA 2 folder create a new folder called "BattlEye" without the "s. 5. Download the BattlEye files from http://www.battleye.com/download.html take both the server and client ones. (they're dll's) 6. Place them inside your newly made BattlEye folder. 7. Launch the game and enjoy MP! Alt. version if above doesnt work ^ 1. Download the Dll's from http://www.battleye.com/download.html 2. create a folder called "BattlEye" (without the "'s) inside Capsulegames/Arma2/ or w/e the folder is called, inside the ArmA 2 folder located inside CapsuleGames anyway. 3. Place the BattlEye dll's in there. 4. Enjoy Mp ! Guide made by yours truly - Niko
Start-up is not the only thing realistic about it.
And that has what to do with you crashing your A-10 in ArmA?

Wait what happened?
the missile went way past me but somehow still killed me
the missile went way past me but somehow still killed me
Ooh okay that's what I thought happened, but then it sorta looked to me like the game had respawned you somewhere on the ground and then killed you and I was confused.
Arma2 game scheduled for later tonight, be ready to play. And be on the TS3 when we play.

starting it now [editline]10th July 2011[/editline]
I bought 2 copies of this game during a sale on steam for 8 bucks each. 1 for me and one for my friend. I kinda want my money back. looking at the trailers i expected amazing action sequences and suspencful helicopter rides to the objective and such.hahah what a joke Instead i got controls that require a manual near your keyboard if you want to remember all of themITS CALLED A DEMO PLAY IT FIRST, and a good 2-3 hours of wandering an empty countrysidehaha you actually played the campaign lmao. i tried to going the objectives, but that took HALF AN HOUR and the helicopter pilot stopped in the middle of a field and left me there.see previous Another problem i have is its horrendus voice acting lazily chopped together. (I know its for a reason dont even start) HAHAHAHAHAHAHand graphics that make half life 1 look impressive.you just have a shitty computer Okay, before all of you slam your keyboards to tell me that its SUPPOSED to be like that because in Real war its like that and its a war simulator blah de blah, I will say this REAL WAR =/= FUN.youre dum lol I dont care what fancy name you have for it, its a game.no shit sherlock The problem is that, while realism in certain aspects is great, (not being able to take a billion hits, destructible environments, realistic effects etc.) In others its A horrible thing. The pacing of this game is equal to that of an overweight snail.what game are you playing sounds nothing like arma2 AGAIN, i realize its a war simulator, but what in a war do you really want to simulate? THE FIGHTING. yeah thats what it does lmaothe game needs smaller environments in addition to bigger environments,um you're still playing the campaign AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA or even better support for over 100 players.it supports unlimited players OWNED NERD HAHAHAHA As it stands, its just too slow for my liking. go play cod nerd Well thats just my 2 cents.
[editline]10th July 2011[/editline] also it sounds like you only bought arma2 which DING DING YOU COULD HAVE GOT FOR FREE BUT WITH SHIT TEXTURES AND NO MODS TO SEE IF YOU WOULD LIKE THE GAME OR NOT AND HOW TO PLAY IT
starting it now [editline]10th July 2011[/editline] I didnt play the campaign for your information, and i have a high quality gaming computer. [editline]10th July 2011[/editline] And why the hell did you instantly go to buy it without knowing whether you'll like it or not when you could have just tried the free version?
So you don't like a war simulation game because you don't like war simulation games. Why did you buy it? That's what you get when you buy games you know nothing about.
And that has what to do with you crashing your A-10 in ArmA?
That I manage to land a realistic simulation, but not the one from ArmA?
Because I didnt know there WAS a free version, and also because the sale was going to end in like an hour and i wouldnt have even had time to try the free version.
Then you're just stupid because you didn't look it up before you bought it. [editline]10th July 2011[/editline]
That I manage to land a realistic simulation, but not the one from ArmA?
Arma was never realistic [editline]10th July 2011[/editline] Also a note, we will be playing pvp missions tonight, so get on the ts3 before you join us as well, bit until we start though, but still.
I did NOT play the campaign, and i have a high quality gaming computer.
if you didn't play the campaign then what the fuck is "SPENDING 2-3 HOURS WANDERING EMPTY COUNTRY SIDE" "I TRIED TO GOING THE OBJECTIVES"(what) "BUT THAT TOOK HALF AN HOUR AND HELI PILOT STOPPED IN MIDDLE OF FIELD AND LEFT ME THERE" [editline]10th July 2011[/editline] also his avatar is mc cow calling it now hes autistic [editline]whattheffuck haha[/editline]
Does anyone know any resistance missions? Like being a villager who's fed up with the russians or something and decide to fuck up their convoy, is there anything like that?
Going to put some insurgency missions on the server as well for tonight
Can I learn on the fly (during multiplayer), or should I just spend 3 days all by myself trying to do the tutorial missions (the marksmanship test is fucking impossible, I just can't hit anything)?
Can I learn on the fly (during multiplayer), or should I just spend 3 days all by myself trying to do the tutorial missions (the marksmanship test is fucking impossible, I just can't hit anything)?
It's easy to learn on the fly, aslong as you have somebody to coach you along the way.
Can I learn on the fly (during multiplayer), or should I just spend 3 days all by myself trying to do the tutorial missions (the marksmanship test is fucking impossible, I just can't hit anything)?
If you got your Arma from greenman gaming, then it FADEs and you can`t hit anything.
The above. They're apparently distributing illegal copies (lol).
Is it me or are there more idiots in arma 2 than in operation arrowhead?
