Hey guys.
I want to introduce my step dad to Armed Assault but I'm not sure what I should show him first. We're going to play on my LAN, and I want to show him warfare. What's the better game for this? Operation Arrowhead or Arma 2?
I think he will like the graphics better in Arma 2 but I think OA is less buggy and more polished. Also, would anyone recommend a mission besides warfare? I figure it's the best one because he is a huge command and conquer fan and I think he will really like the RTS elements.

If you want the RTS stuff then yeah, Warfare. Personally SecOps is my favourite mission though, unless you can get a lot of people together in which case domination is pretty cool

to combine ARMA 2 Free with ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead to get ARMA 2: Combined Operations
the only downside so far is that some of the OA content which is redudand to A2 and was updated
(textures, shaders, Thermal Imaging subsytem) will most likely be degraded to A2F quality
e.g. Mi helicopters in Czech Army faction were updated in OA and thus A2: CO the OA content is used, in the A2: CO lite mode it will most likely use A2F ones

Surprisingly, the guys on the 82nd Airborne server last night didn't seem to care. I was an AT Soldier acting as a Blackhawk pilot, and I didn't get any complaints.
Maybe it was because there was a need for them and I'm a decent pilot.

for several reasons standalone release can't be done on STEAM (can't go into details)
anyway in ARMA X Anniversary
is also complete soundtrack for all released titles which gives ~120 songs in mp3 and flac format
btw. i understood the 'frustrating factor' for these who want only the CWA and don't have old original keys...

OFP has the best campaign of the series, if not one of the best campaigns in war games in general. I agree with ARMA 1 though, there isn't really any reason to play that anymore, especially since all of the ARMA 1 content has been ported over to ARMA 2.
