Another reason to play OFP is that it's less of a resource hog :v:
How is the Arma 2 OA multiplayer? How many people are playing
Allot of people are playing it. If you ever feel like getting together and play some. Then you could add me: Sgt Ellman [editline]16th July 2011[/editline]
Joined an Arma2 Tournament called "Frontline Combat" just so that I could get into some good organized teamplay. I love teamplaying, and I love squadleading. Kind of hard to find folks that willingly join your squad and follow your orders in public servers
I got no problems with that. Tell me if you feel like playing sometime, I'm on steam: Sgt Ellman. I can also bring Havoc Squad. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] I normally play with my members, and I play Domination. Havoc Squad is currently recruiting. We often sit on ventrilo, but we also talk ingame if we are in a group with other people. Anyone mind doing a trade, someone who can get ArmA X for 40% off and I gift them a $20-30 game? I've been wanting to get ArmA II:CO but I never bought it during the sales because I still had a crappy laptop as my computer, now I've built my own that can handle ArmA II Free at about 55-60 fps. I kinda wish there was the MH6 in ArmA II (I know it is in OA), I loved piloting that thing around. I loved trying to fly it into a hanger at an airfield, so much fun. Old video of me being boring with helicopters:
There is a MH6 in Operation Arrowhead.

You aren't using Six Updater, that's what's wrong
Alright, I got six updater to work.
Anyone want to trade a copy of Combined Ops, or the Arma X bundle if you get the discount, to me for Total War: Shogun 2?
How do I enable the "Ambien Civillians" module? I'd like to make a Sniper mission, and have some civvies wandering about for atmosphere.
Civillians on sleeping pills? :v: To answer your question they only come out of houses, so if the mission is in the middle of the forest, you're better off just placing groups of them. automerge seems to be broken again.
So I give my friend a mission, tell him to put it in the 'MPMissions' folder, but when I host it still does the 'Receiving mission data' thing (the mission is 15mb). Any way to avoid that?

They have to be the same file.

You have to put it into the same folder where ARMA 2 downloads them, which is Users/username/appdata/local/arma 2 oa/mpmissioncache

That's a fairly hacky place to put it, and it's just better to make sure you both simply have it in your root MPMissions folder.

Maybe they've fixed it for ARMA 2 or I just remember it wrong :v: Although it doesn't matter regardless, both locations work just as well.
afaik there are 3 places where you can have missions or 4 :) the autodownload one (from server0), the inside profile and the one in main game root ... 4th is actual workspace if you developing ... maybe more but that's getting too complicated even for me :)

Hot-tip: Trying to run a script heavy mission like MSO may melt your server with this many people on
15th had a bunch of guys on doing a briefing before they went over to their passworded server, and I think some random joiner put a satchel under a group of 20 or so of them and set it off
