Probably best to change the entire launch parameter things to just the @PROFAN and @PROFAN_EXTRAS mods instead of sticking them on the end of a list of 8 or so other mods I've got installed?

I think so, as long as the servers aren't running Combined Operations or any mods.

You can play with people that have vanilla ARMA 2. But the thing is that almost everyone has moved to Operation Arrowhead/Combined Operations.

Plenty of time to train more and get good.
In my opinion, the body guards are definitely a bit overpowered, considering the fact that they have arms that are on-par with the assassins, yet their numbers nearly quadruple that of the assassins. No matter how big of a surprise you get on the body guards, they can always turn around and outgun you with sheer firepower. Currently the only even semi-reliable way to kill the VIP is to chuck grenades. Bodyguards should only have an SMG or PDW, having an M4 is simply too strong. When grenades are the only viable option for assassination, you know something is wrong.
I think that terrorists should get an RPG and scoped sniper rifle as well. Setting up satchels simply means that if they don't pass by a certain place, you're screwed. Not having a scope means you'll rarely hit the VIP with your bullets, since you'll easily be detected if you're in range to have a reliable shot at them with an assault rifle or LMG.

Scoped rifles?
That would ruin the game, lets say the VIP stands in the open for more than a second.
Assasins get a bead on him and he dies, not very fun, but yeah i agree the bodyguards are a bit much with the rifles.
The problem with the assasin team is usually that they always spread out so much, you're useless that way, you come in one by one.
Not all of you gunning at us at once.
But you do have some points, they might get mp5's again, next time we play though we will probably play against ai, as in another mission

I think literally the first shot that came our way , hit me in the head or something.
So, I was able to play with you for some minutes yesterday actually.
Then my graphics drivers crashed and I was unable to join again :suicide:
When I try to run Combined Ops, it just keeps saying "Games in unavailable, try again later". What do?
nvm, actually managed to fix it.
Ran steam as administrator
reverified the caches of ARMA II and ARMA OA
Ran ARMA II till it got to the menu then I shut it down
Ran ARMA OA till it got to the menu then I shut it down
Managed to run ARMA OC just fine
Then I just updated addons sync 2009 and now it runs fine! Brilliant!
