Here is the PROPER VEGETATION mod very low edition I salvaged from my old computer. It should improve FPS greatly in dense vegetation areas, mainly in Chernarus maps and the densely forested valleys in takistan.
it also adjusts the LOD switching so that it looks much smoother.

This mod would actually make trees look better in motion if this was the low edition but this increases your framerate none the less.
So me and some bros were playing a DM map I had made.

why does this always happen?
no-one survived that night
its the funniest bug in all of arma that doesn't involve flying vehicles
The 7th Cav domination server is best domination server.
They have air traffic controllers, call signs, actual teamwork. Its great.
When is the free version coming out?
Tomorrow is game, ie saturday
So are we having a game today or what.
When is the free version coming out?
June 2011™
Does anyone want to play with me? I say we set up a Facepunch server.

So tons of useless shit then?
Callsigns are the only abstracted thing I think I might find useful in ArmA 2.

I wouldn't call preventing air crashes useless.
And directing assets. You may think its useless but just wait until you have 50 or so people to coordinate and organize. Logistics is hell.
Unless you play the "hurf durf lets all just rambo and play the game like idiots" way.
That shits for Zargabad life, and public servers.

or for people who just want to play
also, i'm trying to make a Zargabad DM map to completion, but I'm having problems with people getting spawnkilled, does anyone know of a script or knows enough to teach me how to make a script that would check a radius around the spawn for enemies?
You can play normally, its not "super hurf tactical" nor "hur durr"
Its the balance.

Too bad everyone from 7Cav has his head so far up his own ass that he can lick his upper esophagus.

You just stated otherwise. Come on, who needs military organisation or air traffic control or fucking LOGISTICS in a videogame where you could have some fun.

Thats why you get the 7th cav chumps to do that while everybody else plays.
What FPS are you usually getting in ArmA 2?
40-50 in open areas.
10-20 in cities.
What are your specs?
I'm averaging 25 FPS on everything normal except for textures and AA (for some reason, there is no difference in FPS between no AA and very high AA)
And this is during the spawn area.
I've got a AMD X4 955 Quad Core @ 3.7 Ghz as well as a 6970 2GB Model on Windows 7 64 Bit.
What's wrong?
how much ram?

What do you mean by spawn area? Are you in a empty map in the editor?
Your FPS will vary A LOT depending on the mission, impossible to say if that FPS is normal or not without knowing what you're actually doing.
Sorry, spawning in the main area of the 7th cav server. They were running a custom domination takistan mission I believe. Also, 4 gb ram.
game soon @ profans server
when tho
seems like there's a problem with profans server
Shit was shit but next time It's gonna be better.

Anyone know of any good servers except for Profans? Only ones I find are incredibly dull ones with the stupid buying-menu and commander-bullshit.
we play unserious games sometimes, but they usually don't go to plan very well

Just got a new PC. Gonna reinstall CO and get the Undead mod. Some of us should group up and play it.
Hey guys is this Youtube channel common knowledge? According to the views I'd say not.
Gigantic armed killdozer, Patriot missile defense system, stretch army humvee, Paladin SPG, Osprey VTOL-
fuck all this shit I've said, just look at this: (jump to 3:18 too for an instant great example)

I'm no ARMA aficionado, so maybe some of this is in an ARMA game somewhere, but shit I know I haven't seen most of this. What gives?
[editline]14th June 2011[/editline]
Welp, I know exactly what's going into ARMA3. All the magic and mystery is gone
