ACE is fucking annoying, it add way too much shit that just take the fun out of everything. Especially the fucking retarded healing system.

For the intro yes, good thing is that it cleans itself up and will delete the helicopter and crew at the end of the waypoint.
As for ACE it's just what I personally use, anyone is free to remove any ACE modules/features.

If you want something hard, try using ACRE, being the radioman, then have your sergeant, your squad leader, the commander and then other squad(s) talking too you at the same time. Now THAT was a fucking hassle.
Okay, 2nd47 this mission is pretty much ready. I wasn't able to fix the airlift problem, but it shouldn't be a issue as lingor is fairly small anyway, and we can just drive vehicles around to objectives.

Having played with ACE since ArmA, I don't understand why some people here seem to defend the ACE like some fanboys. Sure it's great and that's reason I've had it installed on A2 since it got released, but it kinda doesn't seem worth for FP playnights since the FP games never seem to be THE ULTIMATE SERIOUS GAMING. Backblasts, vehicle radio chatter, OA effects on all weapons and vehicles, soundmod etc sure are nice and create great atmosphere, but there is also lods of e useless features like slingload requiring 2 players (one person on the ground), having to reload the laser designator every single time (why couldn't they just make the character auto-load the battery...), the new artillery stuff, aerial refueling (I have never seen this in action) etc.
There used to be "Anti-ACE" comments that ACE runs heavily after playing a bit thanks to all the scripts etc. running on the background, but that seems to be fixed nowadays.
One thing I don't like and wonder tho is the windows and application key menus. Sure they are fine but couldn't the "interact with other objects menu" been on the action menu, kinda feels useless that there has been this action menu since OFP but all the ACE features use their own menu.
Never defended it like a fanboy, merely said I liked it.

It has more features, it sounds better, its more realistic, more weapons, alot of the noobish stuff such as spacebar range finding removed etc. I just enjoy it alot more and it adds alot of gameplay to things that were just the press of a button in ArmA2, also ACRE is awesome aswell and goes well with ACE. I dunno, I just play alot of "serious" milsim ArmA2 with some clans and I've come to enjoy a more passive gameplay experience, sum it up it feels more authentic.
ACE is good but only if people properly learn it, as in it adds a even greater learning curve on top of the already steep one that exists in ArmA 2 therefore it's not for game's like the ones we have in FP.
Basically. ACE is to complex for the average Facepuncher.

You know if you run @acex_sm it only includes the ACE sound mod right? ACE is kind of clunky, but its okay for coordinated games, I've had alot of fun times playing on TG Bravo server with ACRE etc.

What? If you're talking about "Profans server", I wasn't even talking nor arguing about what addons he runs on his server as I don't really care. I was just defending ACE because I enjoy it alot. Not sure what you're going on about..

With ACE it takes 10 - 15 bullets to kill any AI. They keep getting up after they've been shot 3 - 5 times. Enable wounding system for humans only!
