I've just got OA + British Armed Forces + Private Military Company during the past steam sales, couldn't get ARMA 2 at the time because not enough money, but now when i start OA it asks if i want to start OA or Combined Ops, and combined ops gives a error. Would it be worth it to get ArmA2 so i can play combined ops?

I'd go for it, you get your moneys worth.

Grab the alpine stars launcher (Or any ARMA launcher really) and just set the locations of the OA folder in steam and the ARMA 2 install location and you're laughing. I just slap whichever server I want to play and bam, I'm joined with my Track IR and NIA fully booted up as well. But without mods and for just starting CO, a shortcut is fine.

It also means he can just create multiple shortcuts for different sets of mods. I guess every human finds different things easier/harder....

Why are there two backslashes in the error, it looks like someone at BI fucked up. Just do it manually then, Go to launch options on ArmA 2 arrowhead, add this.. "-mod=F:\Program Files (x86)\CapsuleGames\ARMA II - PC;Expansion;ca" "-mod=" -nosplash then run it and it should launch in CO mode.

Went into regedit and replaced "F:\Program Files (x86)\CapsuleGames\ARMA II - PC\" with "F:\Program Files (x86)\CapsuleGames\ARMA II - PC" (For those interested, it's at HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2\MAIN, Wow6432Node is only for 64bit OS). [editline]29th November 2011[/editline] Also, after a little bit of fiddling, i managed to get two shortcuts, one for Operation Arrowhead and one for Combined Ops, both steam shortcuts: Make a new shortcut and use this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-mod=F:\Program Files (x86)\CapsuleGames\ARMA II - PC;Expansion;ca" "-mod=" -nosplash The default steam shortcuts are weblinks, linking to a steam://, but you can also replace them with your steam.exe, -applaunch ID and then startup parameters for the game.
