Fixed the problem, for anyone else having the issue, just simply verify the game cache on steam.

It's a stand-alone expansion. It can be run stand-alone but it's highly recommended to also purchase ArmA 2 for its content and, more importantly, to play with us!

Project '85 related error, probably a faulty config of the mod or collision with some ACE config, try running just arma and P85

Pirate the game and use the cd-key when you install it. I'm pretty sure that will work
I am getting a 'you have been kicked off ' error on every server when I have baf and pmc installed, does anyone have a fix?
So uh.. Last during Christmas 2010 or Thanksgiving 2010 I was gifted ArmA2, OA and the two DLCs by some FPer. Turned out that he was hacked and the dude used a fraud credit card so Steam took away the games. Earlier this year I was gifted ArmA2 (again) and now I'm sitting here with all ArmA2 things installed but only ArmA2 on Steam itself. How do I patch up OA, BAF and PMC without making FADE kick in or anything? :v:

I downloaded SMX animations, War FX visuals and blastcore, JSRS sound mod and Seal Team 6 Gold all this month. Suddenly men are looking menacing and 100% less robotic, explosions really do go boom and the crackle of gunfire makes being shot at scary.
I consider this a Christmas gift from the modding gods.

grass has a really big element in closer range combat on MP though
adds the element of camouflage
which is pretty fucking big.
makes it possible to actually not get 1 shotted from any distance.
be in the grass 75m from another player without them noticing you

depends if you play pvp or coop, ai ignores grass and it decreases performance slightly so it might as well be disabled in coop games
no grass is for pussy
ai's use of grass p. sure depends on what the host has theirs set to, unless its the pussy missionswhere you choose your terrain detail
if it uses host detail for grass, everyone has that grass setting too

Its been two months since I've played Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. I used to fuck around with friends, doing missions, trying out mods all kinds of wacky antics which lasted me well over a year and a bit. I noticed its been patched with a few bug fixes and [I]apparently[/I] they've fixed that horrifying experience in mutiplayer where everybody teleports around the whole fucking place making it impossible to do PvP.
Have they finally fixed it? Because Arma 3 has gotten me all excited but I dont see the point in reinstalling 20 gigs (Combined ops plus DLC plus mods) when its around the corner.

Months? Me and my friend played 1 day before the recent latest patch and everything was warping to the moon and back, it was only fixed when the patch hit.
client side beta's have had the fix for ages, i cant remember exactly when they added it. with most a2 beta's only the client needs it not the server as well

tried the not full addon-on version and i really liked it. crashed a lot for some reason tho, going to try the full version now

If you purchase just OA and want to play on Combined Ops servers, you can combine it with Arma2 Free to get a sort of Combined Ops Lite

The latest patch almost completely fixed warping (as long as your ping is good) and ARMA 3 is only coming out in june next year.
Is anyone else getting the problem of WinRar saying the file is corrupted when you the download 1.60 patch? I've tried the direct mirror to it twice, and the megaupload one, and neither work.
I downloaded it from Megaupload and extracted it with 7zip, worked fine.

Actually ai have a chance on not detecting you when you are prone in grass with a ghillie.

Save the file instead of opening it. Some times it deletes the file early and make the files useless.
