Anyone playing a game?
Anyone playing a game?
People have been for ages, they just stopped.
I announce my games here, but not everyone does get on the IRC channel to stay up to date on games.
I have no clue what this IRC channel you are in is. Could some one tell me?
Edit:
Also for some reason there's a version 288 now?
It gets updated from time to time. Delamore said of the IRC a page or 2 back.
Can't figure out how to join the IRC..

That java applet will load IRC, when it loads say /join #clonk
It's not even on an earlier page.

Download IRC, set your name, the find the server called WorldIRC, click select. then exit that tab. Hit connect from the first tab at the top, and when server list pops up, type #Clonk. Might be an extra thing to do first, not sure.
Will mIRC work?
That's what I use.
Are you guys playing classic or the shitty 10$ one?
Were playing the version you hate for no reason. Clonk Rage. If you bothered reading the title, you would know that.
:downs:
I've tried Clonk Rage out, and I must say, while it seems like a fun concept, the game itself just seems really, really hard. Like unnecessarily hard. Anyone got any tips?
Get on IRC and we can play a game together. I'll show ya how to play :D.

Eh, maybe tomorrow some time. Saw this post a bit too late to do anything about it.

Explain what problems you ran into and we can try to help.

Quoted wrong post, I was going to quote

Ahh. Well like I said, he should come play a game with me/you/both. Just saying tips isn't always as useful as showing them!
Hmm I may start playing this. What stuff you suggest I download (except the client)?
The learning curve is incredibly hard at the beginning and when you just started the game it's almost impossible to build a base without getting trouble with rain or thunder.
Once you get a hang of the game and play with friends, you'll love it.
Also key configuration is really useful, change the keys to what you like.

Stay with the basic stuff now so you don't get too confused.
Yes indeed, I didn't like it until I played it a lot and suddenly it clicked, now I can enjoy it a lot when I play it.

That's pretty much what happened to me. I kept playing and playing on the mountain range level, and eventually, it just hit me. I didn't finish the goal (600 ore + no saving in shareware = no) but I still had fun working towards it.
The only thing I hate is that it's shareware, and I don't have a full version. :(
They worked hard on the game :D. they deserve the money.
Also don't use the mouse but use the keyboard
The mouse sometimes fails at reaching a place and makes you fall into a deadly snakepit.
I use the keyboard for everything but the menu.

I agree completely. 80% of all my mouse clicks have ended up with one of my clonks deciding to jump off a cliff they can't get back up.
Also, I think I've got the full hang of the game now. Anyone want to play a multiplayer game? I want to see how it is. :D
Yeah don't use the mouse to move around, it's rubbish, although you can use it to tell a clonk to move from simply place to place as long as there's no complex terrain in the way.
Yeah, it's an awesome game when you get used to it.

Complex Terrain™ includes but is not limited to:

Any drop more than 50 pixels deep

A U-shaped valley that you can jump over but not get out of

A V-shaped valley filled with any sort of damaging material

Some hills that are more than 1 pixel high

A tunnel of any sort

A completely flat piece of ground with no kind of obstruction
Whats the advantage to registering?

My clonks can manage more or less anything that doesn't require precision jumping, i.e an angled tunnel entrance or floating jumping stones.

Oh and I was playing the arctic map and I almost managed to drain a massive underground cavern formed by two icebergs but it had a tiny submerged hole which I couldn't fill in because of the water.
