Nice. I was playing ashlands by myself a while ago and got a nice little settlement up and running, I might actually register sometime so I can save the things I make, as playing for hours solid alone is rather dull. [b]Edit:[/b] I'm up for a game if people want, I'll need the hamachi network and the game name etc.

How much does this game cost? I want it for my birthday.

It has been discovered through meticulous testing that the same registration key can be used on several if not unlimited separate clients. It does work both on online servers and over Hamachi even if you have the same registration. I have one, I'm thinking about uploading it somewhere and giving the link to whoever asks. Unless I really really hate them.

On ashlands you want to find either a big bit of more or less clear area (with some crystal or gold nearby, or oil if you like) or a large flattish cave, and then dig out a proper airlock tunnel (dig upwards or find a small cave so that the floor is at some point higher than the ceiling is at its lowest) then make a big flat area and put a lift in the middle, then drill down and dig out another layer, you can get a small city built in such a place, like we did in the first pic in the OP. Also don't build too close to the bottom of the map without a water sump, because otherwise you'll be very prone to volcanoes, and try to find stone roofed caves, they're invaluable for keeping out the earthquakes. [b]Edit:[/b] Also, magic is very useful. Build a magic tower and wait for it to charge, then cast revaluation to turn a clonk into a sorceror, he can then cast all sorts of useful spells, not the least of which is wormhole to base, which can be invaluable for collecting wood from oceans, and firefist, which is basicall a pair of free t-flints, and can be used for tunnel blasting if you're careful. There's also the bridge, wall, and shield spells, good for movement and temporarily blocking tunnels if you think there might be a breach imminent, the volcano spell, which will evaporate a large amount of water and can also help with flattening cave floors and breaking through granite.

To add to what Chris said, lava shoots up when there's no room for it to spread out, if the lava comes up, hits a hallow area then fills it before it runs out, it will shoot up again. Building in an area with large hallows under it will prevent lava until they fill. Also try to reinforce your roof and patch with metal as soon as possible, and if it gets hit by a meteor, cover it instantly, we had 2 meteors hit the same spot in 3 minutes once.

It was actually Golbez's brother who introduced me to this game, it kicks ass. I am still a noob though, i come with good idéas to Golb when I watch him, you (Delamore) and some other guy (can't remember the name) play, but I could never carry them out myself. EDIT: Type-o

I know the basics from playing Clonk Planet for a little, like I know how to build a mill and elevator and sawmill and use flint on gold.
