Maybe the G-man will pop up in a few other games for a minute or two, straighten his tie and disappear. They could have a piece of paper fall out of his briefcase revealing a clue about EP 3 as he disappears.

How would an ARG not be fitting for EP3? It could involve activating something on the Borealis or be something Combine or G-man related.

How was Portal 2's plot made an arg more suitable than an arg for HL3?
I wonder if we'll see those frog tank things from HL2 (in the citadel during the second pod ride)

That just says that there isn't one currently, not that they won't do one at all.

What would be the point of showing Dota 2 when we already have a beta out? That would be an awful joke if that happens.

Valve already announced it so I don't think they would re-unveil it. The game will either be out by E3 or nearly.

They said no arg at this time not ever.
It's pretty damn obvious guys that Valve knows that the fan base is getting reckless and impatient for hl3, so there is a slight if not obvious chnace that it may be on the agenda at E3, if they have been in dead radio silence (or slightly that) for a long time it is obvious they'll spill the beans on it at this E3. Gabe Newell knows all too well what we want and he isn't dumb enough to not know when enough is enough.
It is quite possible we may hear something this year, but don't get your hopes up.

The period of time between Blue Shift and Half-Life 2 was around three years. Seeing how Blue Shift and Opposing Force were released inbetween HL1 and HL2, the wait back then was eased.

Half-Life was released late 1998 and Half-Life 2 was released late 2004. That's six years. Episode Two was released as part of The Orange Box in late 2007. As of now, that's only a shade over four years ago. They'll have to work quite a bit longer to match their past record.
But don't worry, I have complete confidence in Valve that they'll be able shatter their old record by a large margin. We're rootin' for ya, Gabe!

I'm will to do a support protest if that's what you mean. Also it would be a great time since it would be during the summer.
Calm down guys, Valve's gonna make the next Half Life game. It's their signature title and the Half Life series is what made them a popular company in the first place. They won't betray their loyal fans.
