I really want to revisit the ruins of Black Mesa. I hope they don't canonize the nuke in Op4.
It is already canon. Everything is Canon unless something changes it (E.g Dates of Black Mesa Incident, Portal 2 retcons, Vortigaunt appearance)
I really want to revisit the ruins of Black Mesa. I hope they don't canonize the nuke in Op4.
Didn't Gordon nuke the place in HL1? So really there would be nothing left.
Half-Life Sequels: Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Decay, Half Life 2 Half-Life 2 Sequels: Episode 1, Episode 2 That's 6 sequels to half-life in total.
Valve didn't make Opposing Force, Blue Shift, or Decay. nvm I'm late yes rate me cocks yes keep them colcks coming
Didn't Gordon nuke the place in HL1? So really there would be nothing left.
That's a damn shame too. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a game during Hl2 where you place a lone character exploring the secrets of Black mesa? I can imagine a somewhat penumbra style atmosphere. I want to see what BM would've worked on. I mean, it can't JUST be teleportation... right? Look at the gel's in Portal 2 after all.
Gordon didn't nuke anything. it was the gman who reactivated the nuke
Either way the place is done for.
In the teleportation failure in Half-Life 2 you are teleported to an empty desert. I always imagined that to be New Mexico, near the remains of Black Mesa.
In the teleportation failure in Half-Life 2 you are teleported to an empty desert. I always imagined that to be New Mexico, near the remains of Black Mesa.
It's the Wasteland
It has not been Confirmed it is Half-life 3 instead of Episode 3.
It has not been confirmed it is episode 3 ether. There was no official statements that confirm that.
It has not been confirmed it is episode 3 ether. There was no official statements that confirm that.
One second...
It is already canon. Race X isn't canon, HL2 Barney never talks about Blue Shift, expansion scientists aren't in the Kleiner group photo etc. It's still ambiguous though.
They did some weapons research (gauss gun, gluon gun) and xenobiology (the part of hl1 with the blue textures)
Blue textures? [editline]2nd January 2012[/editline] A lot of Half-Life was blue.

And just because Barney hasn't spoken abut the events doesn't mean it didn't happen. Maybe he doesn't want to mention them...
It's the Wasteland
http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/The_Wasteland Oh yeah, as seen on HL2Beta.
They did some weapons research (gauss gun, gluon gun) and xenobiology (the part of hl1 with the blue textures)
I can imagine some really dark shit. I mean, all that facility, you have to have some really terrible secrets, you know? Just look at the shit Aperture had... I know it was all satire and humor but I personally believe HL and Portal are connected. It IS after all the sister company of Black Mesa.
I really want to revisit the ruins of Black Mesa. I hope they don't canonize the nuke in Op4.
Mark Laidlaw considered the Nuke Canon. Its one of the things he approves from OP4

Fucking loved that bit. Whenever a soldier/alien showed up and I was low on health, I'd lead them into that room and turn on the machine.
Gordon didn't nuke anything. it was the gman who reactivated the nuke
I don't see the difference :v:
I don't see the difference :v:
incoming gman theories
Gman is gorden form the future

The spinning speech bubble has three dots. Three dots... EPISODE 3 CONFIRMED!
I had an idea that maybe Valve wants to complete make all their IP's have a 2nd in the series, as evidenced by how none of their serieses go over 2 (and indeed some don't even have them yet)
beter: the tree box: a box with every long awaited sequel to all your favorite games or counter-portal left for half a team, the game to bind them all
The spinning speech bubble has three dots. Three dots... EPISODE 3 CONFIRMED!
That joke is following the path of the "arrow in the knee joke", it's getting overused around here. I wish EP3 was included in HL3 as a long intro to the game, finishing/pausing the HL2 storyline and teleporting Gordon to another time/place where HL3 starts. During his time there he would change things and affect the future/past, and understand everythiiing. That could be neat, but as usual with Valve it will probably much better

How the fuck am I late? I literally recorded this and uploaded it JUST for the purpose of posting it here
How the fuck am I late? I literally recorded this and uploaded it JUST for the purpose of posting it here
It's late because it's been around since 2007?
It's late because it's been around since 2007?
Nobody seemed to notice it
That joke is following the path of the "arrow in the knee joke", it's getting overused around here.
Oh okay, sorry. I don't post or lurk in these threads normally.
