I already got one hype about HL3 being released. Time for another. Failing that i'll leave them in random game stores with a cd of something like Justin beiber.

Most HL fans probably buy most of their games on Steam, and the people who still go to stores are usually console gamers, who generally don't care as much about games like Half Life like they do About Modern Warfare/Battlefield etc.

I don't care how long it takes, I really just want to play Ep3/HL3 before I die. That's all. They can take as long as they want as long as the universe also lets me live until after it comes out.

Episode 3 gets a downer ending with Gordon failing to resist the G-Man's powers and the Combine/bad guys in general win. Half-Life 3 has a new set of characters that are already aware of some revelations from the previous games, but are in an actual position to fight back. A bleak, dark ending for a game that already got closer to the "horror" side of things, setting up the darkness for the spark of light of the next installment. (Because as much as the last cutscene in Episode 2 was a downer, the rebels don't seem to be doing that bad) Very probable not to happen considering how much they already invested in this cast and how many players would eat their own eyeballs watching that ending, but a fresh start with an imaginative new setting and brand new characters would be worth the wait for me.
