not a long time ago i begin play hl2 just for recall all events from hl2 to ep2 in my mind, and i find a new for me detail: in the beginning, when i get out from train, turn to the right from train and i see a enslaved vortiguant sweeping ground, and combine looks for him. so, somewhere could be an enemy vortiguant? or anybody know anything about this? i thought, after nihilanths death, slavery of vortiguants is ended.

No doubt this vortiguant (along with all vortiguants, since they are coterminous) knows what the Freeman has done.
Is there an explanation for why the Vortigaunts thought it was best to leave Gordon burried under a pile of rubble in EP1? I hope that's explained at some point.

this thread gave me aids [editline]31st January 2012[/editline]
Is there an explanation for why the Vortigaunts thought it was best to leave Gordon burried under a pile of rubble in EP1? PC Gamer finally published an article about the CFC : http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/01/31/28000-fans-to-play-half-life-2-this-saturday-why-not-join-them The group is currently under a massive boost (100/hour) since yesterday, I think we'll get to 40k, this week end. Stay tuned [editline]31st January 2012[/editline] And also, look at merle dandridge Facebook page : http://m.facebook.com/pages/Merle-Dandridge/240313761393?id=240313761393&_rdr It's another clue.
Have you checked Merle Dandridge's page randomly or read about it somewhere? Just askin
Maybe it was preferable to leaving him ten metres from a massive dark energy explosion
That's not what i meant. They either burried him under the rubble, or they put him down somewhere where the rubble could fall on him. Alyx also got burried under rubble after they took her. Either way there were much better places to put them.
Have you checked Merle Dandridge's page randomly or read about it somewhere? Just askin
It was posted somewhere on SPUF Btw, 30k members for the Steam group, we're now at 200 new members/hour Edited : 30.500 now, DAMN, 500 members in one hour, it's madness
CFC just hit 30.000 members. Could this go like the L4D2 boycott? I mean its doing the same thing really

Alyx didn't seem entirely certain that the Vortigaunts had rescued them - all she said was 'I heard Vortigaunts'. Chances are the Vorts didn't want their blatant interference to be known. If Gordon had been found standing safe and sound with a glass of orange juice at the bottom of the Citadel Alyx would have known that one or more third parties (the Gman, the Vorts, etc) had been involved.
I thought this was going to be a stupid "3" thing, then
Day one: I swear, this job never ceases to challenge, excite and thrill me. I love what I do!
Thanks for the hope
Comment on that post by Elaine Viergutz Hansen; "I know, I LOVE it" Who that?
soon
This sort of thing has been done too much.
At least this time it actually resembles a lambda.
this thread gave me aids [editline]31st January 2012[/editline] if you havent noticed he has the worst luck on earth
To be honest, considering Gordon's lived through all that shit he has insane amounts of luck
To be honest, considering Gordon's lived through all that shit he has insane amounts of luck
he's probably died millions of times
he's probably died millions of times
he probably is 100% cancer by now
no he is lupus
Back to the topic, I kindof wish they will bring back Adrian Shepherd from HL1: Opposing Force. Sure, Shepherd is Gearbox's idea, but I would love to see him appear in the game or even work alongside gordon via the Gman.

In Hl1 he was a Hecu soldier tasked with silencing the black mesa incident, and got caught in all the chaos that ensued. There's no reason for him to appear now.

considering we have not seen 1 hecu related thing in the half life 2 story line so far, why would they bring shepperd in
(Long-time lurker, first-time poster.) RPS recently put up an article regarding the planned "A Red Letter Day" event, which - as I'm sure you're all aware - encourages people to play Half-Life 2 for half an hour this forthcoming Saturday morning to send a hard-to-ignore yet appreciative "call for communication" to Valve on the subject of Half-Life 3, and it closes with a suggestion that Valve should deliver their message by way of patching the game. This got me thinking - it would be great if Valve updated the first "Breencast" so that it plays normally initially, but when players reach a certain point closer to its location, the screen cuts to a message from Gabe. Leave the game in this state for, say, 24 hours - ample time for the message to be recorded in-game and circle the internet - then push through a restorative patch thereafter. Just a thought. Frankly, I can't say that I'm expecting Valve to acknowledge Feb. 4th.
