IMO though, I consider the two Barney's to be the same. I take what Laidlaw said and I make up my own canon for the games, with Valve's 'Canon' coming with first priority.

He said he is not sure, not that it is not the same - basically, if it was them making it he would of done a few things differently. He is called Barney in the instruction Manual. Unless something specifically changes it, it is the same person.
