Are you using a fancy Logitech Keyboard? If you are using a Logitech G110 (I think that was it) it keeps on doing it as long as you got it plugged in. The game does not like that keyboard.
The G110 is the only keyboard I have :argh: [editline]6th June 2011[/editline] dAMN YOU CODEMASTERS
Rally isn't based on the position you're in, it's based on the time you get. So if those triangles are still behind you, but they're closer than they were at the start, your lap time was lower than theirs.
that helps still suck at drifting though everytime I do a turn I either have to slow down to a hault or I end up doing a flip
that helps still suck at drifting though everytime I do a turn I either have to slow down to a hault or I end up doing a flip
In any turn where you use oversteer, not just drifting, you have to baby it the first few times to get used to how your car is going to react to your steering input, and you have to repeat that every time you switch vehicles or surface type. Practice, practice, practice, practice. With any basic oversteer turn, the key is to understand the physics behind it. I'm going to assume you are using a FWD car. When you hit the emergency brake, the rear wheels lock up, but the momentum of the car throws the weight to the front of the car. With all of the weight in the front, the locked-up rear wheels have no traction, but they want to continue with the current momentum of the car. They do that by attempting to get in front of the front wheels. Obviously the car itself is preventing the rear wheels from going straight past the front wheels, so they try to get in front by going "around", essentially throwing the back end of the car around the front end, turning the car around 180 degrees. This will happen if you continue to brake and do not steer, but the key to an oversteer is using the momentum of the car's weight itself to complete the turn as efficiently as possible. So to complete the turn, you have to turn into the skid and accelerate out of the turn, it's a careful balance, that, again, is different for each car and surface type. On dirt surfaces in particular, it is very very easy to have the car spin out of control if you don't apply the countersteer and acceleration in time. And again, it just takes practice.

The tour is so terrible, voices everywhere, and i can't endure more than one race every game play, so it's impossible for me to play it.
i like the game, but im sick of all the fucking narration. fuck off and let me race. why do i need to hear all the mundane shit from my "team". it's like they treat the player as if they found them in the street licking drain pipes or something. i'm not an idiot, i can work out what to do on my own.

Dirt 2 was even worse for scripted voice shit I keep finding myself playing single events since gymkhana is no fun for me with my DFGT for some reason Wish they would let you disable the handholding voice shit, not as bad as in Dirt 2 tho I guess
My Dirt3 still doesn't work :saddowns: Been contacting codemasters since the day after release, and they just come with shit solutions like "delete the settings file hurr durr" When I try to play, after about 10-15 minutes my computer stops taking input from the keyboard, and I have to restart it
why is this
[editline]6th June 2011[/editline] And it takes about three days to answer my emails
I've got this a few times with mine, just unplug it and plug it into another usb port. In fact it just happened while I wassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss running it in the background again....... Except when it happens to me it just makes keys stick down if I'm using them.

Somebody made a montage of himself doing tricks, I can't really remember it that well, but I remember the song in the backround was some girl singing something along the lines of "like a bitch"
Do we have many EU players? Would be nice to have a race sometime
I played through the first two seasons, only to realize GFWL wasn't set up right, and none of it saved. I bought it on steam. GFWL shouldn't be necessary.

Is there any mod out there somewhere that fixes the awful color correction [editline]21st August 2011[/editline] like how all finland tracks have green tint

in b4 massive steam bans
in b4 massive steam bans
They'll just remove the game from accounts if they'll even bother to do anything about it
in b4 massive steam bans
No because it's ______ fault. I read somewhere it was AMD but maybe it's someone elses fault. Essentially whoever was in charge of the page that contained this: http://www.touhouradio.com/dirt_3_keys.txt
I have a feeling they're going to remove the keys from Steam and invalidate them. And you could possibly get banned. It's a scary prospect so it's probably not worth the risk.
This game is so sexy, i mean, the graphics make me jizz EXCEPT THE GUYS AT THE START OF THE RACE THEY LOOK LIKE THEY WERE PORTED FROM A GAME FROM 2001
Considering mine was a "gift", only to find out later this whole fiasco I highly doubt they would ban a load of accounts. Not only is it the eve of Battlefield 3's release (I.e. mainstream origin use for many people) but it's also coming up to christmas. They are not thick, you are naive, its the key owner at fault.
They won't ban loads of accounts for this, they might find a way to remove the game from the account but I doubt they will ban so many users. If anything it's the person who leaked the codes who will be axed. [editline]6th September 2011[/editline] If they did ban people for using the codes, a lot of people would be pissed off
I contacted Steam support to ask them to remove the game (And not hurt me please) since I was also given the key by a friend. Because I'm a huge paranoid fuck.
I contacted Steam support to ask them to remove the game (And not hurt me please) since I was also given the key by a friend. Because I'm a huge paranoid fuck.
lol, your loss
I'm going to try my luck and if I do get banned, resonate with them after I do.
I'm going to try my luck and if I do get banned, resonate with them after I do.
If you're that worried about it, just create a new account, so it doesn't matter if you get banned.
If they have a way of tracking the codes that were from this, they will use that power to deactivate them, rather than banning them. A lot of people got them as "gifts from friends" and that would make a lot of people flustered at best.
