It would be difficult to prove if someone got their key legitimately or not.
They could make you prove you had a card, but some of the keys were given away in other promotions/contests, so that wouldn't work.
I got mine from their facebook page, and it was on the list.
The thing is though they might not even do anything about it, as some of those keys were sent out with AMD cards, and steam could be unfairly taking it away from those people.
The sad thing is there's not much they can do about it, as people might have saved the txt and should it be taken down, several more will be reuploaded.
I hope they do remove it, feel bad paying £27 but have had a great few months on it. So be it if a new influx of players come in, I can just rape them with my wheel easy.

I'm not able to get this game to start up properly. I hit play, it logs me into GFWL, first the AMD splashscreen comes up, then the codemasters splashscreen. Then a loading icon appears in the lower right corner, and the entire game freezes and stops responding while it says loading.
I have an AMD HD 6800 series graphics card. My entire PC is new so I know it's not my hardware. I don't think it's a DX11 glitch either because that usually affects people who can at least start up the game. I tried the force DX9, deleting the config altogether, restarting steam and my pc several times. I see this is an issue Codemasters has had for a while yet never fixed.

My friend says it could also be the Parental Lock settings.
I'd be running the game fine, but my screen would randomly turn grey with vertical lines everywhere. Its quite annoying, anyone know a fix?

Don't activate it now.
The only thing valve can do, is deactivate all the Dirt 3 games activated since the leak
So your game will be removed too

But odds are if they deactivate all of the Dirt 3 games activated since the leak they will also disable all of the leaked Dirt 3 keys, so his key won't work later.

Which is why they won't since lots of legitimate AMD customers will be pissed off.
Unless they re-sent keys to people who bought the cards, but unless the cards have serials that can be activated online that would be difficult to accomplish.

So I fixed my freezing problem by removing the codemasters splashscreen. Now the loading icon appears at the bottom right corner. With the triangle shaped icon spinning like it's loading. The only problem is, this goes on infinitely. Does anyone have any ideas for this?

haha, in my opinion mp is more fun than sp if you have friends to play with, with the huge bonus that you don't have any of those voices "GREAT RACE AMIGO" "YOUR CAR IS READY WHEN YOU ARE" etc.

I have wondered since Dirt 2 came out, WHY ARE THE GAMES FUELED BY ENERGY DRINKS.
Anyone know where I can get this game cheap? With this whole AMD key leak thing it was taken off Steamgifts.
