That Photographer has balls, but heck he's probably getting paid in the bucketload for those shots.
He was way further away from the track than you think. optical zoom.
I kinda like the look of this but havn't bought a racing game since Monster Truck Madness 2 (with sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel) looks like it could be a nice blend of realism/ fun. How is the track IR support?
i havnt tested it but dirt2 was 6dof i dont see why they would remove it when the engine already has support just tested it it works without any setup, the latest codemasters title that the software list is dirt 2 so you probably assign a the profile you want to that
yep, its good, and a bit hard (but fun) if you turn off the assists
Can you customize your car again like in Dirt 2? With bobbleheads ect.
Man, I wish this came out later when I had my new computer. Now I simply have to sit and wait
Played for 70 minutes or so, game seems great fun. My only main complaint is that the steering wheel controls seem to reset anytime i start up the game which is mildly annoying but i'm guessing will be a quick fix. Cars and tracks are all good, not tried multiplayer yet but can imagine that being just as fun if not more so. Graphics and everything are nice, runs smooth - the youtube upload video feature seems like a great idea but for only 30 seconds of an average 1-2 minute rally is kind of poo and me not being able to view replays somehow is meh.
Loving the game so far, the graphics are great and the gameplay is fantastic. Love driving in the rain and snow. :) Although I am getting some micro stuttering (freezing for miliseconds every few seconds) and I can't fix it. tried everything already, defragmenting, other GPU driver version etc. Also I so had to try out the youtube function:
Reposting; Can you skip cutscenes?
Everygame i download on steam goes around 2 mb/s and dirt3 is around 1mb.. why god why.
Reposting; Can you skip cutscenes?
I couldn't, if that helps.
I couldn't, if that helps.
Oh. Do they force tutorials down your throat then? I'll probably skip this one then.
Cant wait to get this for my Xbox to play it with my steering wheel :iia:
I think DiRT 3 improves upon DiRT 2 in some respects (more cars, more rallying and more realistic handling) but there seem to be a few problems which annoy me personally. For example if you want to get the most driver rep from an event you have to use the latest car you've unlocked and it feels like cars only get used about twice before they're cast away.
Oh. Do they force tutorials down your throat then? I'll probably skip this one then.
There are a few tutorials which you can't skip, but you only have to do them once. You can skip the dialogue before each racing event though which saves a few seconds
Ugh. A no-buy for me then. Game-breaking shit.
Ugh. A no-buy for me then. Game-breaking shit.
Is it really THAT big of a deal ? It's a fun game, worth the 45 I spent. They have, at most, 3 minutes combined time spent in "tutorials".

And i know how to use the arrow keys on my keyboard, no tutorials needed. I really don't want to sit through any more shit. But i do like the new menus and removing pastrana. The problem is that i want to read/hear them in my own pace, like the zelda games where i can just mash a and still read everything.

People like you are weird as fuck
I want my fluffy dice.
is there a list of compatible wheels for pc?
you show up wherever i go and, i wouldnt think so most controllers for 360 work for the PC too though
My platinum run in Sprint 01. Nothing too special, just testing Youtube. Kinda annoying how you can't really name the video yourself and it takes forever and only 30 seconds.

Just go on youtube.com, then go on My Videos and click Edit on the video you want to change. :)
I'm too used to gravel, dirt and snow, I can't do gymkhana for shit, I steer way to hard all the time.

After about 10 minutes of playing, the input from my keyboard stops working, and i have to restart the computer :saddowns: Help?
I had a weird graphical bug where all the whites were pink or red and stuff, so i alt-tabbed out and now the game won't start in fullscreen and i can't find any options to change it
Fuck this game is awesome, anyone know the cheapest place to get it on PC?
