There was no real need to revive this thread, since this thread is being used for Last Light discussion specifically..
Considering this caters for both games I don't exactly see the problem...

There is no problem, I was just saying it wasn't really necessary..
I just got a copy of Metro 2033 (English) for twelve bucks. Now's a good time to buy if you've been waiting for a cheaper copy of the book.

Um, the one I linked to ships to the UK free of charge, and is cheaper than the one you linked to.
I should finish this game, but I am stuck at the part where [sp]you are trying to get to the station and there are Nazis and Commies fighting. By that blasted staircase which is guarded by like 6 Nazis and 1 of them is on a moving machine gun. What should I do?[/sp]

Metro: Last Light CONFIRMED to be being put on the WiiU
Hate to bump this thread, but I just wanted to say that I've finished the novel. It was absolutely amazing. I saw the twist coming [sp]with the Dark Ones really just wanting to bring peace[/sp] because of the game, but still, that moment was powerful, and it was an incredibly depressing ending.
I hope to see some mentioning of, or even a few members of the [sp]Great Worm tribe[/sp] in Last Light, and maybe even have the [sp]Kremlin[/sp] be a danger when above ground.
According to steam, Metro:LL is released :v:
For anyone interested in Metro 2034, someone's finally translating it. Should be finished by February.

Funny, 3-4 years ago, people were building their gaming computers with Crysis in mind, i built my computer with Metro 2033 in mind. If i get a second GTX 570 i can run it on max with 50-60 FPS. Currently, im running it on near max with 35-40 FPS. This game is stunning visually and gameplay wise. I like how if a person is carrying lots of ammo or weapons, you could fuck up a stealth kill by missing and hitting the ammo pouches.
200+ hours on Metro 2033. I don't have a problem.
2034 has apparently been released in Finnish but STILL not in English. I read 2033 in English so I'd prefer to do it for 2034 too, but I don't think I can wait.
I found it in a book store here in Sweden, translated to Swedish. v:v:v
Looking at some old interviews with the devs, apparently they really want to release an SDK since they were probably gonna do it after the first game. They're also planning on making better, perhaps story-driven, DLC, which both delights and worries me; ffs, THQ please don't screw this up.
Fun fact: the minigun is made using alarm clock parts.
I see this thread, and am reminded to go play through this game again. I randomly stopped, not too long into it, even though I enjoyed it a lot. What's wrong with me...?
Bought and started reading 2034. Gonna do the same atmosphere building as with 2033, which means listening to the STALKER ambiance and Metro 2033 OST while reading.
I've read that 2034 isn't as good as 33, since all the tense things like firefights are absent. This true? I'd hate to work so hard to find a good translation and find the book isn't up to snuff.

Oh god an SDK would be orgasmic.
Also not sure how they would manage to make better DLC, Ranger Hardcore made a good game into a great one.

No firefights and I'm almost finished, but I don't mind. I don't particularly care for the action, I just want to read about the world.
I would kill for a level in Last Light that involved you getting captured by the [sp]Great Worm tribe members[/sp]. That was my favorite part of the novel, and I was really disappointed to not see them in the game.
Would anyone happen to know of any watch that has a design similar to Artyom's?

The collectors edition came with one, probably flimsy but it's your best shot.
Does the ranger hardcore thing automatically download with metro 2033 on steam? If not where can I get it?
Does the ranger hardcore thing automatically download with metro 2033 on steam? If not where can I get it?
Yeah, it automatically comes with the Steam version. It's only console players who need to download it seperately.
Honestly, I find Ranger Hardcore a whole lot easier than normal. Is it just me? Please don't be just me.

Bastard gun with silencer is best weapon on that difficulty.
