Hearing from you guys that it kept the spirit of DX1 is very, very encouraging.
It's ok. Wasted 20 minutes of my life to choose a skin for JC...I mean Trestkon, that didn't make him look like a total jackass.
Anybody tried the nameless mod for Deus ex? It seems huge and awesome
I highly recommend this mod. Its very well done, keeps the feel of DX obviously but its got some smart map/weapon designs. Quite funny at times too and the music is great. Word of warning if you're using shifter and you have TNM installed: medbots won't appear in TNM because shifter uses a separate medbot NPC. Backup your shifter files and put the originals in if you're playing TNM to avoid the problem.
oi spekter, nice UE3 techdemo avatar
They mentioned they might make a game based off it, fingers crossed.
some guy on SA said it's this Mustang
Ooh, that's a nice car!

Also
The ps2 version [of DX] is better than the PC! [...]
Safe to say, that NPC got blown up.
To the people who played the leak: Should I preorder this? Is it awesome like DX1? Is it replayable? Do your choices effect things? Also just going to say this, seeing as Square Enix usually makes their things for PS3 and then ports them to other systems, typically not putting in mod tools for the PC version, I am probably getting this for PS3.
I think it is better than DX1
I think it is better than DX1
We all know that DX1 had many flaws in it's execution (Thank the fact that it is made by the people behind Diakatana). But saying DX3 is better is kind of a stretch. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] The only real problem I had with DX1 is that the XP system revolved around objectives rather than the player's feats (XP system is redone in Shifter, which I use), and that the intro was way too fucking revealing. Also, does the intro spoil most of the story DX1 style, or is it reasonable and give the player the foundations for the plot, like most intros.

The intro doesn't tell you much at all. It mostly teases the player. As for me saying DX3 is better than DX1, it is all about opinion. In my opinion, DX3 is so much better.

Being dumbed down or not, I find it to be alot better, so I don't have to look for the key to lift the toilet handle to take a shit.
And the combat is WAY better. I do wish they'd kept DX's skills/augs seperate though.
i'd say it was condensed rather than dumbed down, some things in dx1 could have been condensed.
For example?
And the combat is WAY better. I do wish they'd kept DX's skills/augs seperate though.
Yeah. I miss swimming. :zoid:
Is Yahtzee's song relevant to DXHR?
I'm not far in the leak, and I have a feeling that it doesn't have as much content as the original deus ex.Maybe I'm just wrong?
Is Yahtzee's song relevant to DXHR?
Well there's no skills or swimming, so no really.
Also just going to say this, seeing as Square Enix usually makes their things for PS3 and then ports them to other systems, typically not putting in mod tools for the PC version, I am probably getting this for PS3.
Square Enix are publishing the game, Eidos Montreal are developing it. The PC version is being co-developed by Nixxes - a Dutch developer. It is not a port. IIRC Montreal is in Canada. And most Canadians don't sound French in my experience. Unless this is a Montreal in France that I have never heard about, eh?

God forbid :v:
Am I the only one who noticed that in these demos they always type 0451 into the keypads? Which was also the comms van code at UNATCO HQ.
A leaked media preview not having as much content as a full game? God forbid :v: It's in the province of Quebec, aka French Canada.
Seeing how the game was 2 months from the release when it got leaked, it should have the main features integrated, that's why I was assuming that [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] I'm still not sure for what I should get this PS3, PC? maybe just maybe both (I really doubt I'll do that though)
It's in the province of Quebec, aka French Canada.
Quebec HNNNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnng But IIRC, speaking French for a long time doesn't make you impossible to understand what the hell you are saying whenever you speak in English, these guys were obviously actually from France. Also, to W0lfeh, I would go with PS3 version, adequate evidence around that it was made with PS3 hardware in mind, which would mean you would be getting the best possible experience on the PS3, whereas with, say for example, TF2 (Made for PC) you would not get the best possible experience playing on a console where input systems and actually hardware are completely different *prepares for the Ultimate Insult video in a reply*.
