The game runs well on highest settings. Well, not super great, at least on my hardware. Damn my CPU.
Ah man, good old Deus Ex training. Especially once you get to weapons training.

You have some nice organization there.

Thanks, I threw my games into categories when I got into the Trading Beta with friend categories.
So is this a remake of the original or like a prequel ?
I didn't play the 1st Deux Ex but I REALLY liked the alpha that got leaked, so I'm thinking of getting it.
It is now AUGust 20th.
Now to pray that there is a subtle lack of attention in some shipping office and I end up getting it a day or two early.

It's a prequel to the original.

Holy shit. I haven't seen you forever. You disappeared for awhile.
This is really my first pre-load.
Just sitting and waiting for the game to unlock is gonna be hell isn't it?
[editline]20th August 2011[/editline]
Like more hell than sitting and waiting to be allowed to download the game? :saddowns:
Dude holy shit what's your service?
University internet :eng101:
Since I beat Deus Ex 1, now I'm in the awkward position of finding a game to play before HR comes out.
Actually it'll end nicer since when it unlocks it'll basically be time to start up the game and play it! :haw:

Hnng, I never asked for :ninja:s!
So human revolution comes out the day I get back in school.
:smithicide:
[sp]Game is kind of difficult, once you get used to it, I never asked for this. But overall. Seems like it's mass effect and dragon age/2 all together but set in the future on earth, not saying it's a bad thing, Jensen seems like the typical laid back guy[/sp]
"Ow the game does not has good graphics, it must suck"
Did I ever say that you fucking faggot, I said that graphics are meh, my eyes don't like them. God, you are fucking idiot.

Jensen sure knows how to treat the ladies.

Did I ever say that it was "so shit", I regret buying it because it is not worth full price for me. You guys get easily hyped.
Here's one of the posts, can imagine where he might be stretching the truth. He says spoilers but there aren't really any, spoiler texted out the ones I think might be for some people.
"Biggest damn disappointment in a long time.
*SPOILERS*
[sp]Only two city hubs, and they get recycled. Don't believe the hype of lots of cities (for example, Montreal is just one level in a building, no exploration).
Most levels are generic, linear sci-fi corridors. Yes, you can sneak around the enemies, find alternate routes and such, but it's still a linear experience with basically just a choice of either stealth or shooting. Don't expect open levels with tons of different approaches or chances to experiment. City hubs are fun, but like said, there are only two of them.
Predictable plot that is pretty much just Metal Gear Solid 2 and a bit of 4 thrown in. Better told, though.
Laughably stupid ending(s). Not the writing - it's fine if nothing special - but the way they're presented. In the end, you are given with four buttons with each triggering a different ending. Your actions in the game have zero influence and neither will you see any proper resolution, just vague voice over and some stock footage. Reload your last save to see them all in five minutes. Easiest Achievement ever.
Crappy boss fights. Confined arenas with no other options than to shoot them in the face. No options for bypassing them, or use hacking or stealth or anything.
Now, don't get me wrong. It's not a *horrible* game. It just ended up being rather mediocre with some flashes of brilliance and fun (the augmentations are good, as are the two city hubs) in the midst of tons of missed opportunities.[/sp]"
Well yeah, there are only two city hubs. That is because the developers wanted to create a strong contrast between the west and the east, along with their attitudes to augmentation. The original Deus Ex only had two city hubs - New York and Hong Kong. Paris was not really a city hub - more like a rush to complete your objective with some small side-questing if you wanted to.
The original Deus Ex did have a lot of open spaces. But these open spaces were bland, boring and not interesting or fun to traverse. Human Revolution rectifies this by making areas smaller, and also pumping tonnes of detail in pretty much every nook and cranny.
Spoiler about the endings and how you get them:
[sp]The ending is affected by mid-game decisions - this has been confirmed by the developers.[/sp]
So uh, should I order this or wait until it's cheaper?
Wait until its cheaper? what.. It will take months before a game like this will drop in price
Go order it
So uh, should I order this or wait until it's cheaper?
Buy it.
order it now
Should we spoiler tag Deus Ex 1 plot stuff as well, since a lot of people are playing it for the first time since it's getting more publicity at the moment?

Personally, I don't see why people come into a game's thread and ask if they should buy it because there's only one answer they are going to get.
Farewell Deus Ex thread, today marks the day I board up my windows and put all my reserve food stores in a cool place, because the [del]Zombies[/del] spoilers are coming to get me and I will be prepared.
