[sp]There are hidden Heavy Rifles and EMP grenades scattered around, Try to hit inside the shields for maximum damage if your using the Heavy Rifle. EMP grenades are pretty straight forwards, though try not to waste them, you can't throw them through the gaps in the railing.[/sp]
Apparently turning off vsync can reduce loading times, I quickly tested it by disabling vsync and doing a few quicksave/quickloads and there's a definite improvement. I'm not sure if it will work for everyone though.
Also a quick message to those that have the game decrypted and are playing offline, there is a way for you to play online without any sort of vpn - add me on Steam and I shall explain. Nothing external required.

Boss fight when you find [sp]Eliza.[/sp] Didn't know how to beat her but after shooting her with 3 PEPS, she glitched and just stood there. :v:
Goddamnit, I put 3 praxis points in fortify thinking it was stealth.
Fucking hell, how do I beat Berret? I'm an all stealth guy and I can't seem to do shit against him.

And this ladies and gentleman is why I quicksave often.
You need hack stealth to use fortify to any real effect, otherwise it just gets you caught.

I had extreme difficulty doing it on Normal with around 3 weapons with tons of ammo, I used stealth for the entire mission prior so I have no idea what I'm going to do when I fight him on the hardest difficulty.
Boss enemies shouldn't even be in the game, there's no need for them and I don't understand why they're so tough, if I shoot someone in the face repeatedly with no protective apparel on their head/face I expect them to die not lob a constant stream of grenades at me.
I'm in Hengsha but I have no idea where a merchant is. Anyone care to help?

[sp] I'm stealthing on Deus Ex difficulty. All you have to do is keep moving, take cover when you need to, and throw the gas and explosive barrels that all over the place. Gas stuns him while doing damage, so it's best to throw them first. You can beat him in about 2 minutes this way. [/sp]

I was in the same position. He kicked my ass a dozen times till I got it figured out.
Spoilers for beating barret:

The first time, I got lucky, the AI derped out, and he grenade spammed himself to death
The second time, I used a conc nade. It's very effective on him. If you can navigate behind him while you're both blinded, he'll lose you and start looking. From there, whenever he gets within taser range, tase him and then pull out whatever weapon you DO have (Modded pistol worked fine for me) and plug in his head. After a few rounds of tase/headshot, he'll go down.
If you don't have conc nades, hide behind a pillar. He gets really close to you closing in from there, and will get within taser range. If you don't have a taser, you're probably fucked. You might be able to find one lying around the boss fight room, though.

The objective says to read the dead soldier's pocket secretary, and I did. But the objective doesn't update, it just sits there even though I read it.

There are EMP grenades lying around. use those to stun him. While stunned, throw real grenades (which are also lying around) at him.
If you have cloak this is very easy, especailly since he only attacks where he last saw you.
Also, contrary to popular belief, you can still damage him with guns like the tranq rifle. Still, though, helps to soften him up first with various weapons and machineguns laying around in the corners of the room.
I killed him by immediatly going to cover, and lobbying a grenade over cover (it'll automatically aim for him). Then I threw some emp's while hitting him with a revolver. Finally, decided to randomly hit him with my tranq rifle and he went down. Playing hardest.
I would buy the shit out of this game but I spent all my money on a wedding present for my cousin.

All I did was stun him with the stun gun long enough so I could throw two grenades, and then shoot him in the face several times, which took less than 60 seconds. He was dead. I then looted the room full of unused goodies.

My tactic was to soften him up with an assault rifle and throw an EMP nade. While stunned I picked up the explosive barrels and threw them at him. It took him down pretty damn fast.
For anyone who has watched the credits, [sp]What exactly did the scene at the end mean? It's been years since I played the original and obviously I recognized Bob Page, but what did Megan meeting with him imply? Does she have a hand in the events of the first game?[/sp]

I'm just about to go to China and I haven't killed anyone yet or triggered any alarms.
Ugh, how do I get into the Harvesters' Hideout in Shanghai? The front is guarded by like, 5 guys that I can't sneak around. The air duct on the roof only leads to an empty elevator shaft with no doors or anything, and if you fall down it there's no way to get back up.
Also I forgot to note, if you are playing in offline mode because it hasn't released in your region yet rename the folder in steamapps so that Steam won't redownload anything as soon as you go online, then add me on Steam and I shall explain how to play without having to go back to offline mode.
since my last post i thought i'd update and let you guys know i've been clicking on install since then and i still haven't gotten it even after changing my download locations to every single one and back
