FUCK. I clicked the spoiler at the top of the page by accident. FUCK.
Only 12 hours left, i would advise we leave this thread until then.
FUCK. I clicked the spoiler at the top of the page by accident. FUCK.
To be honest, I don't mind reading spoilers.
I'm just waiting to see if anyone uses the early unlocky thing and then maybe get some balls to do it myself. Also rebuilding my media player data base because it never seems to fucking see any new songs I put in the folder :@
Does hacking turrets and using them to kill people cancel out the dont kill any dudes achievement?
Anyoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
Anyoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
100% sure it will, otherwise it'd be easy as fuck when you'd be slaughtering everyone with robots and turrets.
I unlocked it early
I can't get it to work. Selected location as california, logged in, said i was connected. Restarted steam, tried to install - still gives me the message saying not released yet. Also, how do I disconnect from this VPN?
I don't know why but every apartment I broke into that had one, I tossed the fridge into the living room Reminds me of the old days when I left a spoon on the head of everyone I killed in Morrowind Why do I do such weird shit
sucks that you can't max out your character. i don't want to play this 30 times to see all the augmentation upgrades and stuff.
[sp]I'm wondering, can you even save Malik or does she die anyway?[/sp]
[sp] Yes you can, there is even an achievement for it[/sp]
sucks that you can't max out your character. i don't want to play this 30 times to see all the augmentation upgrades and stuff.
I think the idea is to play through it a few times with varying playstyles.
So, has anyone found the plasma rifle?
First boss: [sp]Who in the flying fuck thought it was even a good idea to include this in the game. Being the stealthy sort, who, say, might not be toting around this rocket launcher or these grenades or two stacks of combat rifle ammo or the revolver, and who might not have their dermal plating upgraded twice, how are you supposed to kill Barret? Two rockets - since that's all I found - three frag grenades, and a good three clips of combat rifle ammo down and he's not dead, and that's about as long as I can last, and it only takes three hits from his GATLING GUN - PLEASE NOTE THESE FIRE VERY FAST - to kill me. The pillars around don't count as cover for the cover system, hence I can't aim out from behind them without exposing my wide, shiny ass to high-caliber gatling rape. I was seriously enjoying myself up to now, even in as much as I don't generally enjoy stealth games, but this is just fucking stupid. Not to mention player choice - where's the choice if you can choose one way and there is a guaranteed unavoidable spot where your choices will very likely fuck you over? Normal difficulty, before someone says 'If you didn't want high caliber gatling rape, you shouldn't have selected Deus Ex difficulty'[/sp] ^^ clicking the above reveals details about the first boss, its weapons, the arena, the things you're likely to find and just how much of a terrible idea bosses are for this game ^^ Not to mention all the buttons seem to actually only be half their displayed height, which makes clicking the cutscene skip button fairly hard (as well as the buttons on the object menus in the inventory, so managing your inventory can be pretty frustrating too) Aside from this little niggle and the first boss, the game is seriously fun. I spent a good eight hours just dicking around, throwing vending machines off buildings and hauling dumpsters up fire escapes, and the stealth element is actually quite good - tense enough without being omnipotent-styled. If I had to complain about anything else, I'd say the NPC animations in dialog - they look like they all suffer severe anxiety and Parkinson's or something, shaking all the time with very little correlation between their movements and their dialog. But the only real way to fix that would have been to hand-animate every piece of dialog, which is simply unreasonable. That, and how ungodly stupid the AI is sometimes. Target is in cover up in the security booth! Let's sit here and shoot at the wall we're sure he's behind from over here, and advance on him one by one! And better yet, when we throw a concussion grenade in to disorient him, or an EMP to fuck with his augs, let's not storm it while he's weakened! :downswords:
My copy just arrived! Installing it now on my PS3. DVD is good, unlike the Yakuza 3 one I had which I had to use my computer for. The DVD is an actual DVD with proper menus and shit.
That's just it. Try popping in the PS3 augmented edition bonus disk in a dvd drive. Eidos Forums are on fire right about now.
Fuck it I can't get the proxy to work. Will just wait all sodding day :(
Obligatory [IMG_THUMB]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/540651622676030852/98634B9EF2A8C99F6123B0CE71A0D05CA37620E8/[/IMG_THUMB]
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is a way for you to play online without needing to use offline mode but you have to have the game decrypted first by using a vpn or the sort. Just add me on Steam and I shall explain - I won't explain here because this isn't a very well known method and I don't ideally want word getting back to Valve as this has worked since Mafia II. Rename the folder in steamapps first before you go online if you're offline so that Steam won't redownload any files.
New laptop should be in today so I can enjoy it on something better then 2gb of ram and old intel 2core
Tonight's the night..
How do I get the weapons for the augmented edition?

Was anybody else a little disappointed with the [sp]endings[/sp]? [editline]25th August 2011[/editline] I mean, I made a quick save and [sp]kept going back to choose another option, but I wasn't satisfied each time. I don't wanna kill Jensen, destroy Panchea and kill everybody there, but I also don't want to make humanity become luddites, sound like a smug asshole/become Sarif's bitch/allow the corporations to rule the world, or allow the Illuminati to take over[/sp]. There should've been [sp]and option to just leave and turn off the signal, and allow humanity to find it's own course, but with potential conflict because of allowing Sarif and co. to live[/sp].
so who is buying the $200 trench coat? http://us.deusex-store.com/product/EGX-D3_COAT-VT-001_Trenchcoat
It hasnt got the floral patterns on the shoulders. Come to think of it, it looks nothing like his.
Got mine today from gamestation... comic was basically ruined, majority of the cover was removed due to sticky packaging and was bent and folded all over the place :saddowns:. Kinda shit when can import from Canada and Japan and have it come in pristine condition yet destroyed in your own. Can't even install with disc cause not released? Thought it would be just like preloading, guess not.
Guys, is there any way to deal with [sp]P-Gee or how is he called, and his friend without killing them?[/sp]
Guys, is there any way to deal with [sp]P-Gee or how is he called, and his friend without killing them?[/sp]
You can just knock them out. It still counts.
Raaaaage. Had it since 9:30AM this morning and I have to wait until it unlocks tonight to install it. Fuck this stupid bullshit :( [editline]25th August 2011[/editline]
Yeah, I almost destroyed my comic because whoever packed it used adhesive goddamn bubblewrap. -_-
Yeah, likewise. Sodding GAME.
Yeah, I almost destroyed my comic because whoever packed it used adhesive goddamn bubblewrap. -_-
Yeah same stuff then.
You can just knock them out. It still counts.
Yeah, I know, I was thinking that there is a way to deal with them using speech or something. Well, thanks anyways.
