I think a good amount of mainstream gamers won't like it, simply because they're used to the CoD-style gameplay of linear combat and having CoD-style multiplayer. The lack of multiplayer will probably be a big reason why it won't appeal to those people. And for those that do buy it, at least half will rush through the game, not bothering making any choices. Of course, I am all for people migrating from CoD and discovering the large amount of other titles out there.

DX:HR has been dumbed down compared to Deus Ex from what I played of the leak. It still feels like Deus Ex though, and it won't be a bad game because it's been dumbed down. They will still hit those Level 1 guys just fine.

They'll go haywire when they can't finish the game because there isnt a guide out yet.
Seriously, I'm sort of a mainstream gamer (not much anymore, CoD is sort of dead to me) and HR is just magnificent in every goddamn way. It's the game I was waiting for my whole life, and I say this without exagerating.
Its sad that people will go on forums saying they went through it in a couple of hours and say the game doesn't has the promised 30 hours that the devs talked about, when in fact, it even has alot of replayability value after going through it once, at a normal-to-slow pace.
I simply laugh at the youtube comments. Its as if they are blind as a bat. And kudos to that kid who said that he owns all of the "better games than cod". Really made me chuckle.
Now come the fuck on august! I want to nerd out in your delicious upcoming game!
