Yeah, I know, I was thinking that there is a way to deal with them using speech or something. Well, thanks anyways.
I thought the same thing too for a while. Kind of disappointed there wasn't. But punching them both in the face made me feel better about the whole thing.
really hope my copy comes today then maybe i can unlock it early. how has the post not come yet its 3pm almost
GAME still hasn't delivered. :(
I'm playing the original Deus Ex while waiting for Deus Ex:HR to finish downloading and I got stuck on where to go in the first mission.
Help please?
I'm so confused.
I talked to the bum and free Gunther. What now?

If I remember right look around for a vent or a room that's not easy to see. I walked past it like a million times because it was just not in an obvious spot at all.
Eh, crack is out it seems. Took a while though.
I was walking around the Sarif building and I heard some NPC's talking about what billionaires do in their free time, and they were joking about Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, then I realised....
Steve Jobs isn't the CEO anymore, and he made this game out of date, the day he resigned.
Good job, Jobs
Steve jobs doesn't have to be a CEO to be a billionaire.

Go up, you're trying to find the NSF commander.
It's so cheap I am seriously considering ordering the game from outside of Sweden, but then I'll have to bother with a VPN and such every time I want to start the game, right?
Is there any disadvantage to running multiple programs at once while hacking? Whenever I get detected, I go into panic mode and start attacking every possible node, while fortifying all the nodes I have. :v:

I'm pretty sure that's what you're supposed to do.
Is there any disadvantage to running multiple programs at once while hacking? Whenever I get detected, I go into panic mode and start attacking every possible node, while fortifying all the nodes I have. :v:
Nope, other than you might do something dumb. Hacking needs key board short cuts though, so I can just mouse over and fortify/capture nodes.
Eh, crack is out it seems. Took a while though.
So now pirates can play, whilst people who bought the game wait to unlock it.

Yeah, this would be wonderful. Plus, I keep accidentally using my nukes/worms because it's easy to slip and click one of those rather than capture/fortify. :/

It's highly unstable though. I think the pirates will be able to play the game normally when EU has got their release.
First boss:
[sp]Who in the flying fuck thought it was even a good idea to include this in the game. Being the stealthy sort, who, say, might not be toting around this rocket launcher or these grenades or two stacks of combat rifle ammo or the revolver, and who might not have their dermal plating upgraded twice, how are you supposed to kill Barret?
Two rockets - since that's all I found - three frag grenades, and a good three clips of combat rifle ammo down and he's not dead, and that's about as long as I can last, and it only takes three hits from his GATLING GUN - PLEASE NOTE THESE FIRE VERY FAST - to kill me. The pillars around don't count as cover for the cover system, hence I can't aim out from behind them without exposing my wide, shiny ass to high-caliber gatling rape.
I was seriously enjoying myself up to now, even in as much as I don't generally enjoy stealth games, but this is just fucking stupid. Not to mention player choice - where's the choice if you can choose one way and there is a guaranteed unavoidable spot where your choices will very likely fuck you over?
Normal difficulty, before someone says 'If you didn't want high caliber gatling rape, you shouldn't have selected Deus Ex difficulty'[/sp]
^^ clicking the above reveals details about the first boss, its weapons, the arena, the things you're likely to find and just how much of a terrible idea bosses are for this game ^^
I dunno about everyone else but I found it pretty easy to kill barret on Deus Ex difficulty in the leak. Just throw grenades and trip mines and explosive barrels at him, and the only gun I had on my was the tranquiliser rifle. As for my augs, the cloak came in handy for evading him.
I don't understand why theres region lock if you bought on steam
Why does this game have to be FPS? It'd function so much better with a third-person camera.
Why does this game have to be FPS? It'd function so much better with a third-person camera.
I don't think so, but a RE4/Dead Space style over the shoulder 3rd person view would work better than just regular 3rd person.
Jensen's voice actor answers some questions

DRM and separate release dates for different regions are so fun!
Found a strange bug.

Did you just teleport through the floor for a takedown?
Did you just teleport through the floor for a takedown?
I teleported into the next room. They must be right next to eachother.
No wait scratch that, I teleported directly above.

It took me like 20 seconds to kill the boss by [sp]Just fucking tossing poison gas and barrels at him. It renders him unable to attack. AT ALL.[/sp]
Does anyone know where[sp]Megan's bracelet[/sp]is for the Sentimental Value achievement? I'm having a tough time finding it and I've looked everywhere.

Based on my memories from the beta, I'd say the [sp]"evidence locker". Check the safe.[/sp]

I am now going to listen to the UNATCO theme on loop for the next 8 hours
Then I will play until 6am when I have to get ready for work and will then probably fall asleep at work.
But it will be worth it.
