It takes a good amount of time to beat an entire mission while still exploring the entire area and still remaining undetected. That [sp]FEMA facility[/sp] in the leak is so huge and I doubt I explored more than half of it yet.

I haven't got lost like that in a game in years... Which is good now. But the best thing might be my preference to overthink when trying to solve a problem like hacking a door or going through a place full of guards or whatever, when there was a much simpler way of doing it.
Like a vent hidden behind a crate :v:
Hey guys, guess what?
Took me a while to get it. :golfclap:
Took me a while to get it. :golfclap:
I still don't get it :saddowns: Is it some obscure reference to something in the leak (which I haven't played)?
Like a vent hidden behind a crate :v:
Yeah, I always found it funny when I stumbled upon these "hidden" vents that took you past all the baddies.
GITS without TITS? I don't get it. D:
GITS = Ghost in the Shell, an otherwise decent cyberpunk anime but with lots of fanservice.
you can even open the door at unatco with a can of pepper spray.
Yeah, but once you're there, what are you gonna do with your low level skills? :v:
Ah, the Alginon run. There's a video of that on youtube somewhere.
Alginon? I'm unfamiliar with this term
Wow, I just inststalled the DE1 GOTY, but good old Unreal Engine renders too fast so its unplayable for me.
Are you playing it windowed? I found doing so makes it run SUPER fast. Fullscreen fixed that for me.
GITS = Ghost in the Shell, an otherwise decent cyberpunk anime but with lots of fanservice.
And a rather odd story that will leave you confused if you don't follow it through.
Alginon? I'm unfamiliar with this term
Username of the guy who made it.
Did anyone notice that book in DX1 about "Project Dabbuk" (The stealth helicopter) has an "over 9000" reference? You can find the book in MJ12 bases, and Jock's apartment. I don't know if this was in the vanilla game, or if the guy who made shifter was a dumb 4channing shit (His Kawaii Desu Desu username kind of suggests this). Somehow I think it is the latter.
Full text? [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] also I didn't realise just how old that meme was.
I have a screenshot but, I.......... I.......... I [del]thought you were a gep gun[/del] don't know where screenshots are saved to. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] Also, the main reason DX2 sucked was because they took the Dark Age end Helios endings as canonical, I mean, DAMNIT ION STORM, THOSE ARE SPEEDRUN ENDINGS, NOT CANONICALLY ACCEPTABLE ENDINGS. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] Oh yeah and the ass terrible ammo system. I would rather scrounge for medkits than ammo.

When did I first hear about this game? I forgot what first lit the spark for it. Whatever it was, thank you :v:
I always saw that stupid install picture and thought to myself, "This game looks like garbage, but I'll try it out anyway." Lo and behold, it was amazing.
Just beat the first Deus Ex with the what I call "Good" ending where you
merge
. It's amazing how a game from 2001 can have awesome gameplay qualities and a better story to tell than most games that come out today.

Mah boi, that is a speedrunner's ending. The true canonical ending is the Illuminati ending.
Mah boi, that is a speedrunner's ending.
Actually Dark Age is the fastest. [sp]And the best too[/sp] Oh look we're discussing which ending 's the best again.

[sp]Helios[/sp] ending is best ending. Who doesn't want to [sp]become a cyber God?[/sp] Do we really have to spoiler tag plot points from the rest of the series? This is a DX:HR thread after all.
[sp]Helios[/sp] ending is best ending. Who doesn't want to [sp]become a cyber God?[/sp] Do we really have to spoiler tag plot points from the rest of the series?
Do we really have to spoiler tag plot points from the rest of the series? This is a DX:HR thread after all.
This is a general Deus Ex thread actually, don't let the thread name and the conspiracies inside of it fool you.
Actually Dark Age is the fastest.
Correct, i was retarded for not reading and calling you wrong <3 Start at 5:00, funniest glitch ever
Wrong Start at 5:00, funniest glitch ever
That is the Dark Age ending.
Yeah you kind of contradicted yourself there, GunsNRoses2. Not sure if this has been posted yet, but you can get it at Greenmangaming for $28 with this code: FACEB-JULY2-20PEC And it's the Steam version
