I'm not sure how I feel about this, there's so much stuff in the game that's focussed on making the people about you seem more real. Like, outside Jensens apartment, the door at the end of the hall has a husband and wife arguing about the results of their getting augmentations, there appears to be some sort of extra-marital affair going on between two workers at Sarif Industries.

It all makes for a really compelling background, but I can't help but wish I could get involved with these smaller cases. Maybe it's just my inner Commander Shepard talking.

Clicking the ~ key will auto-hide the weapons bar but I don't know about the whole thing.

[sp]I had the same problem, my SMG was fully upgraded too and I had no other guns. So I just let him die. Best I can say is reload a previous save and get a gun. There is a merchant in the Pod area. In a back room.[/sp]
